This looks fun. Reminds me of that Chinese cartoon.
We loved it too. I saw it with one son last week, and then again yesterday with another son and his wife and a close frined and his grandson, five of us altoghther. We went and watched the Hobbit today and thought it was excellent. I don't know what others have been talking about the 1st half of the movie being boring. It was engaging and exciting from the beginning to the end.
Cloud Atlas
Go watch it. oh you can't, MUHAHAHAHA

IMHO, it's like the other Trilogy movies...draws you in on their epic quest and for a time (3 hours in this case) you are giver a reprieve from the things you might be worried about and get a chance to get wrapped up in the great story and cinematics. Outstanding scenery!
Can't wait for the next one. Hopefully (as I understand it) they have filmed all of it and the other two can come out quicker than every year...but we shall see. Will certainly watch all three and then get the extended cut versions on DVD or blue ray to go with my Lord of the Rings versions.
Then, we'll be able to spend a good two days watching the Hobbit and the Trilogy from start to finish.
I think the people who didn't think too highly of the movie were the ones who either didn't read the book or forgot what the book was all about. For me, I kept comparing the movie with the book while I was watching the movie, especially when Bilbo met Gollum in the cave. That was exciting.
I didn't want the movie to end. I think I actually got a little depressed when I found out that the movie was about to end in 30 minutes...
Every year, I find a day and watch the whole trilogy all together. Not the theatrical version, but the extended edition. So the whole thing is about 11-12h. I have the original trilogy in all formats and all editions, DVD and BD of theatrical and extended editions. I can't wait to have the Hobbit trilogy to complete my collection.
... And then you can watch the extended Hobbit trilogy with the extended LOTR trilogy together!
A round of applause to anyone that can last that long in one sitting.
