LMAO, that's exactly what I remember about it too!

That and the fact that the guy comes out of nowhere. It's the Final Battle, and the Big Baddie kicked all the good guys' asses. Things look dire... suddenly some guy appears and cleaves the flesh off the Big Bad's bones.

I was like... WTF???

oh yeah, i remember that one too

it's funny, with all the effects nowadays things look more fake than real
all they need was wires and flour to make great effects :(

I went to see "Wrath if the Titans" 3D, last weekend, and I'm rather disapointed. On several occasions, the image seemed really out of focus, and I don't know if it was a problem in that particular cinema or if it was a poor 3D job.
The plot was also rather thin, If you would even call it one.
I actually quite liked clash of the titans with the two semi-seperate storylines concerning the humen battles and the devine one, although the plot seemed a little too constructed. But in this, it seemed like someone just forced the writes to finish the plot in any way they could come up with.

I also saw John Carpenter a few weeks back, and that one I quite liked, really. Some rather light, but enjoyable phantasy with a few (to me) unexspected turns.

Oh, and of course I also saw "21 Jump Street". Absolutely hilarious. Really funny and great entertainment.
I'm, looking forward to the Avengers, Expandables 2 (although it being PG13 could be a bad thing), maybe Battleship, definitely "Safe" (Jason Statham is just awesome :) )
And perhaps even "Iron Sky", the story line seems so ridiculous, it might actually be funny again.

Is nobody apart from myself looking forward to prometheus lol?

I feel like battleship is going to be a massive travesty.

And the new total recall trailer just came out, it looks pretty good. But then again I'm biased because colin farell is in it.

I think the Avengers and Prometheus are going to be the biggest movies of the summer. Prometheus looks spectacular. Hope Total Recall is good. Get to see Shanghai in the future and straddling buses on the roads.

Yeah Wrath of the Titans is pretty much a waste of time and money.

I believe that the same 3D glasses may not work properly in different theatres.

Could count the number of movies that I've gone to over the past decade using most of the digits on both hands. Prometheus looks like it might just be worthwhile going to see.

Surprisingly, no! I simply don't watch much in the way of new movies, and even old movies I'll generally just watch on the tube. My video rental card is dusty, and forlorn. The last (or maybe second-last) time I went, they told me my card was out of date and had to be exchanged for the one I have now. Can't remember for sure how many years ago that was!

I dont know where you are based but don't be surprised when the next time, you pull out that video card to rent a movie, there won't be such a thing as a video rental shop.
There use to be three video outlets ,which were handy to where I live (upper middle class is how its regarded) and now theres none. I think its safe for me to say that from Auckland CBD where theres a considereable amount of highrise apartment living, and travel through the main streets of the cities most affluent suburbs full of high street shops, and i wouldnt come across one video rental place after several kilometers.

Anyway you must much better things to do. When my children were growing up I must have easily averaged $30 on a weekly basis for games and videos.

I just watched episode 1 of Season 2 of "The Walking Dead".

I was disappointed.

The characters haven't changed since season 1. Despite everything they've been through, they haven't grown up a whit. They seem to think they're in an episode of "Survivor" and don't seem to realize that the world they knew is *GONE*.

They've still got the same petty jealousies and personal angst. The guy who plans to strike out alone acts like a teenager: he's more willing to risk getting himself killed than to deal with relationship issues. Quite possibly, he hasn't even realized what a BAD idea it is to be alone in a world of zombies.

Despite an entire season dealing with zombies and spent in a city and suburbs, they, apart from one exception, don't seem to have picked up ANY survival skills. We knew from Episode 1 of Season 1 that guns are very risky to use against zombies, yet it took a kid to give them the idea to arm themselves with effective melee weapons! Is it so hard to grab a fire axe from an office building, or a few hatchets and machetes (or chainsaws!) from local hardware stores?? And the stupid cop still carries his revolver everywhere without even a backup weapon!

Sure, you can argue that it's "realistic": these people are psychologically ingrained to what they knew and what they were comfortable with. However, while I would have allowed for that in Season 1, there's a limit to that kind of behavior. Past that limit, it changes from "being human" to "being too stupid to survive".

This is shaping up a lot like Heroes did: fresh and exciting in Season 1, stale and boring in Season 2+.
