1 of the biggest Chinese blockbuster movies of the year is Feng Xiaogang's "Aftershock". The movie is based on the events of the devastating 1976 earthquake in Tangshan, PRC. The movie also links in the more recent 2008 earthquake in Wenchuan. Not going to post a full length movie directly. Instead, the link to the movie is provided at the end of this post.

Advisory
1. Graphic scenes of human suffering may be disturbing to some viewers.
2. There are no english subtitles.
3. The movie is dedicated to memories of those who lost their lives in the quakes (mentioned at the end of the movie).

Watched "Let the Bullets Fly" a few days back. It was quite an enjoyable movie, and the stellar cast certainly helped.

Was rather surprised that the multiple mentions of buying official posts in the movie wasn't censored out.

Usually anything that points to official corruption in movies made in the PRC are censored out. At least that seems to have been the case in the past, but it was not the case for "Let the Bullets Fly".

Anyway, this movie seems on track to be the largest domestically made blockbuster yet.

the white guy is so stupid, it's amusing. the politician's death is one of the worst, next to getting cement rolled and crushed by a construction truck (boy the director has a thing for people getting crushed to death)

seeing a car driven by just the front wheels with the rear gone is absolutely hilarious. they look so stupid
