Can you guys believe it? The New moon became the biggest friday box office ever and the third best weekend box office. This is insane...

Not surprising. Interesting to see if the box office holds the next week. It was afterall this type of audience that kept watching Titanic which is why it made the kind of money that it did.

Personally I'm waiting for Avatar.

Ever hear of Twi-Moms? This is not only for under 40. Some of the entertainment news on TV are showing mother and daughter screaming for the stars all together and with some daughters embarrassed by their mother's antics.

After watching 2012 and seeing a trailer on tV advertising "New Moon" IMO computer enhanced /generated effects or imagery in the movies is becoming a bit passe. Personally Ive become a bit blase about them. THe ones in 2012 are just a rehash of what the director's has done in the past, but on a grander scale.

Well anyway it's got me into thinking what's the most memorable ones youv'e seen. For me It would have to be "Jurrasic Park" although its yrs since Ive seen the movie, the rest just fade away, though I wish the technology had been around when they made the original "Star Wars"

To me, it's got to be Gollum in The Two Towers. There's one scene where Gollum responds when frodo calls Gollum by his real name, smeagle. People say that was THE best acting of the year. Yet, it's a CGI character.

Peter Jackons other Movie "The Lovely Bones" should be something worth watching , as its something quite different from him, . Its released was deliberately delayed, to give it a run at the Oscars.

I watched the old "Hammer" productions of Dracula movies with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.' " Twins of Evil" "Taste the blood of Dracula" pretty good B grade movies, brings back old memories

Other movies I watched are : From Here to Eternity" "Above Us the Waves" A monochrome movie based on the midget sub attack on the German battleship the "Tirpitz". "We Dive at Dawn" self explabnatory another submarinestory. Gosh those old British war films were very films plus some films based on WWI with the Biplanes.

"Hells Angels" and "The Dawn Patrol", Theres some pretty good arial shots in it though.

Christopher Lee always the best vampire and Dracula ever. I'm a big fan.

Forced at gun point by a girl to see "New Moon". $10 and a hour and half later I want to kill myself. Don't waste your time guys. summary of the whole movie -"maybe I like Jacob, no, maybe I like Edward, no wait maybe I like Jacob, no, maybe I like Edward, no I can't make up my mind..."

Ninja Assasin was really good! the story was really corny and flat, but the action was stylized and bloody. the whole thing was like a mix of 300 and Mortal Combat.
