Hello everybody. Just got back from Amazing Spiderman 2 (or latest 11 dollar donation to Marvel). Remember how I had nothing but good things to say about Captain America, The Winter Soldier? Well, I can't say the same about the film I just saw.

I think is pretty much watchable for the special effects alone, so I didn't feel like I got cheated out of 11 dollars. Overall, 6 out of 10 stars.

I will however go see the next X-Men.

Snyder just tweeted a teaser for the new Batmobile.

"Edge of Tomorrow," with Cruise looks pretty good. The type of movie he does well in.

Myself, one of my sons, and a son-in-law will all go see it when it comes out and I will report back here.

I was thinking of seeing it to, although I have a low opinion of Tom Cruise on the whole.

Is that the one with him in the mech suit doing full groundhogs day reenactment? Preview did look good.

If by "mech suit" you are referring to a powered military exoskeleton then that's the one.

Yep.

It's the type of movie he does well in...despite my shared misgivings about some of his personal choices and actions.

But the premise of the story looks pretty good.

Alien invasion, We are getting kicked. Full effort landings to stop them resulting in massive defeats.

Cruise is like a Major in one of these who gets killed a few minutes after his own landing...but then gets caught in a time loop, reliving that battle over and over...and learning as he goes. Helped by some SpecFor, and apparently "someone," who is training him to beat the Aliens.

Looks pretty interesting.

Looks like they are going for the comic book route. Wonder when he'll release the teaser for the Batfleck suit.
