I'm with TerraN_EmpirE on this one. I find it just looks like a modern take on a humanoid robot, rather than the intentionally cluncky 80's concept of robots. Remember the Japanese robot one of the older robocop films? (IIRC) That guy looked completely human, let alone guy in a suit, and far from a robot at all.

On another note, aside from the black color, nothing here looks like batman to me.
the guy with the samurai sword and that wonderful coat.he was in Robocop 3.

I guess it all depends on how much they stick to the original canon. If this is like a reboot of the franchise than perhaps it is acceptable. In the original canon his human body was so messed up there is no way he could've been in a suit afterward, exskeleton or not. Basically the only thing left of Murphy was his head/brain/spine and maybe his ticking heart. Everything else is pretty much mush after the amount of lead the bad guys pumped into his body and extremities!

I remember Robocop line for line... In the first one there was a scene where in Morton and Johnson were being introduced to Murphy. Now Murphy was about to be... "assimilated" into robo so he was more or less on life support and the scene is from his first person. The doctor is showing Morton, Murphy and he beams proudly that they managed to save the arm. (Presumably the right as in the gore scene where Murphy is blown to bits with shotguns one of the first shots takes his left off at the shoulder a bit of Hollywood gun myth really.) now Morton is miffed by this as he had planned full body prosthetic. He and Johnson then proceeded to talk to each other about keeping the arm. The conversation is in the same manor as someone choosing the drapes or the color of the paint might talk it over with there friend or other. In the end they tell the doctor to loose the arm. So keeping the hand is loyal to the original.

My wife and I took five of our grandkids to see "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters." It was a GREAT young teenage movie on the order of Chronicles of Narnia, or the Harry Potter movies. Good clean fun and our 9-12 year olds REALLY loved it. The wife and I enjoyed ot too.

I was a massive fan of the original film, the 2nd and 3rd films were crap, only the first was truly a great satirical piece because of strong writing and direction.

This looks like it'll incorporate the storylines of all three films plus the family element which is relatively new.

I honestly don't mind this, i'm actually cautiously optimistic about this project and actually am willing to wait and see where it goes with this.

I actually like the 1st and 2nd one. The 3rd one was a bust to me. I think they chose the right person to play Robocop (no Ben Afleck here). I will always cherished Peter Weller as the original Robocop. He played it well.

Saw this on Netflix. Quite watchable... not a big budget Hollywood movie but definitely above your typical Sy-fy fare.

the aerial combat between the F-15 and MiG 29 was well made. In one of the scenes the Mig even pulled the infamous Pugachev Cobra maneuver.

It's basically the Korean version of Top Gun ... right down to buzzing the tower and coffee spilling LOL.

This is making the entertainment news rounds. Justine Bieber as Robin... Could be a hoax... Could be a real offer...

Worst casting EVER. If this is true... I am hoping that we have nuclear war, I mean any hope at all of salvaging this movie would have just gone down the toilet. Bat Affleck was bad but Robin Bieber.... I think I am going to be sick. Who the heck is casting this they need to be given a close up first hand encounter with Syrian chemical weapons.

This week should be telling since this news came out at the end of the work week. Even if Warner Bros. studios denies this, it doesn't mean it's false. The studios deny a lot of rumors and many turn out to be true. But if they say nothing then there is probably an offer to Bieber.

What next? Arnie getting asked back to be Mr Freeze again? Bieber Robin, *shudders. If that is true, I hope Superman kills Bieber Robin, brutally and graphically, within the first 5 minutes of the film, and that can be why Batman is at odds with Superman.

This way we can have Bieber Robin and the film might still be good, ta da!
