There was a time relatively well-off 3rd and 4th rate Chinese students can study in colleges overseas, especially the English-speaking 5-Eye countries. I guess that door is slowly closing now. On the other hand, the suicide rate in the US increased 30% over the past 20 years, and the profession of psychiatry has become a joke in America - it has been "successful in redefining what it means to be a human being." Yup, whatever that means.

Twitter threatens to sue new Zuckerberg-helmed rival​

On the day Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta launched Threads, a text-based companion to Instagram, a Silicon Valley law firm representing Elon Musk sent them a cease-and-desist letter, accusing the app of “systematic, willful and unlawful misappropriation” of Twitter’s intellectual property, trade secrets and data.

The letter from Quinn Emanuel attorney Alex Spiro, dated July 5 and on Thursday by the outlet Semafor, is addressed to Zuckerberg and Meta’s chief legal officer, Jennifer Newstead.

Spiro claims that Meta has hired “dozens of former Twitter employees”over the past year, with access to the company’s trade secrets “and other highly confidential information,” which they used to develop Threads as a “copycat” app.

“Twitter intends to strictly enforce its intellectual property rights, and demands that Meta take immediate steps to stop using any Twitter trade secrets or other highly confidential information,” wrote Spiro.

I wouldn’t call it weak, simply untested in the current setting. I mean Ukraine was considered to be the strongest army trained by the west in Europe and Russia as a gas station in the middle of nowhere and right now the USA is trying everything from nuclear threats, blowing up pipelines of Allie’s and begging for weapons around the world because they far from being a strong military, is in fact a weak military propped up by the dollar and the fact they have nukes and even now their economy is in such a state that they sent Yellen to China to try and get them to save them like it is 2008. I believe in due time China will iron out its differences but really I believe that China is already very powerful (heck powerful enough to blow the USA back to hell if they get first strike and with Russia willing to help out because of basically everything the USA has done to them now, they have a very good chance of success there) but merely prefers to win a fight with an extreme advantage rather then start a fight now when it isn’t even required, especially with the USA looking to be in more of mess in a mere few weeks
