Good, this means PRC officials are starting to recognize how Western propaganda works and responding to it. There is absolutely no point in releasing such a number while everything is getting twisted.
Yup, the number is so low, the Western MSM just won't bother to believe it, let alone report it. As for the Wong imbecile, he just does not know better.
There were 164 COVID-19 related deaths and 2,777 severe cases in May across the Chinese mainland, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Chinese CDC) said in a report on Sunday.

According to the Chinese CDC, the severe cases and deaths mainly occurred among the elderly and people with underlying health conditions, with the average age of fatalities 79.3 years old.

Anybody know when is Blinken reaching Beijing?

Interested to see what type of reception he's given
LMAO - he probably has to pass the regular airport customs like that fine lady Von Der Leyen.

"This investment projects demonstrates Micron's unwavering commitment to its China business and team," it quoted CEO Sanjay Mehrotra as saying.
They wish. After sabotaging Chinese competitor's expansion, Micron expects China to keep its market share in China intacted, let alone expanded? That is day dreaming. A good example is Ericsson and Nokia, non of them did the sabotaging against Huawei, not openly at least, Ericsson even went as far as to speak openly for Huawei in some way. And yet, Ericsson lost China's contracts. It has nothing to do with attitude, sincere or double-faced, or who is the cause, politician or CEOs, Chinese company's lose at western country's hand will be compansated by the lose of western companies' in China. Micron is the chicken, the rest are the monkys.

They are saying China's South Korean ambassador Xing Haiming is like

.

I'm not sure if that's quite the insult they think it is.
I think the article is not intended to insult China, but rather saying that Chinese ambassador is "insulting" SK by acting like Yuan Shikai whose role was equal to MacArthur in Japan as you pointed out below.

When Yuan Shikai was in Joseon Korea as Qing's Imperial Resident of Seoul he was something like MacArthur in post war Japan. Dude successfully kicked out both Japanese and Russian influence and Koreans gifted him three concubines, one of them from the royal family and Yuan had 15 kids between them.

Why Blinken and Sullivan want to visit China so badly, what is the main agenda? what they really really want from China that have a good chance getting it ?
They (the Biden admin) want to close a chapter immediately after they throw their punches at China but before China's further actions, so they can present to the world something like "this admin has acted tough on China, punched around, and get no beaten back, now China agrees to settle without retaliation". They definitely can not afford a meeting after China beats back which will come but just not immediately nor specifically in a tit for tat manner. This is about their 4 years election circle.

China on the other hand has no such circle, so when and what to throw back at US is determined by maximising the greatest and long term gain. So China wouldn't hurry up a punch according to some meaningless meeting. Therefor China is not in a hurry to meet, nor holding back the meeting (for whatever purpose) indefinitely. Note, stop such meeting indifinitely is essentially cutting off the relationship, even the USSR and USA did not do so during the hight of cold war. China for the moment and in the open is not intended to make that kind of statement. Therefor, we are seeing both sides meet just for the sake of a meeting, nothing else.
