Tbh, there are lots of great Western cuisines and dishes, my main beef though? A lot of this stuff is really not that hard to make at home. Like paella is a cinch once you get the water to rice to ingredient ratio down, practically every spaghetti dish on the planet can be whipped up in 10 minutes, and once you learn how to time a steak its like riding a bike you never forget. Yet these places charge you exorbidant prices and hype themselves up as places for special occasions.
Never so for China where numerous dishes take hours to make and lots of hand eye coordination, but sell for pennies and is considered lower end.
