Yes, now the whole thing may start to become strange: Biden will become more and more eager to end the conflict for next year’s election, Ukraine will do more out-of-the-box actions in order not to be sold out by Washington, Russia will keep building fortresses and be calm, old Europe will be like a mental patient, wanting to hit Russia but not wanting to escalate the situation, and new Europe basically has a look like they are the real permanent members of the UNSC…
It is a dog and pony show. Kevin McCarthy would eventually have a deal with Biden. If not, Republicans can kiss the next election goodbye. No matter what right-rings advocate for, the reality is majority of Americans aren't buying Republicans' narrative. Republican presidents have accumulated as much debt and spent as much on wasteful wars and projects and even cut taxes with no constraint. You just don't get to be a fiscal conservative when there is a Democrat president.
In order to get the US fiscal back to order, there are both needs of increasing taxes on wealthy and cutting expenditures. Republicans won't have any tax increase. Democrats refuses to cut entitlement programs. Social securities and medicare are both funded by taxpayers social security and medicare tax. So there are not much left to cut except defense budget but defense budget is a no for Republicans so the US would never be able to resolve its debt problem. In the end of the day, it is just a dog and pony show for their constituents.

Uh, that’s my mistake. I didn’t mean to say that Russia would do nothing and wait for a favorable treaty to be automatically delivered. I just meant that Russia is not as eager to break through the front line and anxiously seek ways to capture Kiev as the West was told, but just sit calmly on its position and build permanent fortresses, waiting for wave after wave of Ukrainians to rush up and die.
