technically, Kishida is only Li's equal, not Xi's, since he's only the head of government, not head of state. Only the Emperor is Xi's equal.

Bloomberg: The gas conflict between Germany and India has moved into the political one. The trade contradictions between Germany and India over the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) have turned into a diplomatic dispute between the two countries.

According to the agency, the Indian company GAIL India Ltd, according to the current contract, until 2041 should annually receive 2.5 million tons of LNG from the former "daughter" of Gazprom, which is now under German management and is called Sefe.

However, since May of this year, the company has not delivered 17 LNG shipments, since it no longer has the opportunity to receive fuel from the Russian Yamal Peninsula. The publication notes that in order to solve the energy issue, India and Germany have attracted diplomats. In September, it was reported that Germany would nationalize Gazprom's subsidiary Sefe.

Let's assume that sometime in the future, if/when the fissures within the G20 got big enough that the Global North members felt that they are becoming the minority voice in the group and decides to "retreat" and form their own exclusive "G7+", I think it would be the best time and opportunity for the remainder of the Global South to join and integrate into the BRICS+.
