And this:

Oh yeah? Washington DC wants to expand US military presence in the Asia-Pacific region?

Perfect casus belli for China to hike her military spending to at least 2-2.5% of her GDP (personally I would like to see that go to 3% or more), considering that China now truly faces existential threat from the United States.

The MSS and Publicity Department should start with their jobs now.

It is time for the professional military and paramilitary branches of China to receive significant expansion and upgrade as well, seeing that the US is really itching to contain China's development and growth with North Korea as an excuse.
Tbh in my personal opinion so as not to underestimate the enemy, I'd still assume US platforms are able to trade 1 to 1 with PLA ones, that US has equal level ISR and no assymetric factors will come into play. Hence I see an American invasion as a "close call" scenario that can go either way.

But consider that despite everything US said, their proxy wars and so on, the CPC isn't blind or deaf and they know it. Still, no military budget increase on the table.

So it seems for whatever reason, they think US is not an existential threat.

Going into the leadership's perspective, there might be a few underrated advantages that could be reasons for why they believe America does not warrant a budget increase.

1. There is a vast difference in logistics capability and construction capability.

2. China's economy is (far) more geared towards mobilisation and total war.

3. There is an advantage in drone tech and a huge advantage in manufacturing capability.

The popular assumption is that China will fight US like ww2 naval and air battles only with longer range weapons. In that context, there might not be enough numerically.

But US and China sit at a syzygy between the 3rd and 4th industrial revolution, with China representing the latter and US mostly being confined to the former.

As an example, maybe China will use the same capability that can build modern hospitals in 2 weeks to build/convert 5G facilities that pump out satnav drone systems. They can make a 100k+ sized swarm that will seek out every energy substation of any US associated facility. And while the swarm is attacking, have ISR drones mixed that in that use CEC to guide hypersonic missiles from manned platforms on any survivors.

In the current Zhuhai expo something of a lot of interest to me is that tiny, truck launched suicide drones from China can be outfitted with no payload, but ability to paint target for other platforms.

US officials: We want you to put export controls to China.
Allies officials: , what exactly you want to export control?
US officials: Anything used for 16nm or less.
Allies officials: What? Anything?
US officials: Yes anything
Allies officials: there are a lot tools used in these foundries from US$1 screws to 60 millions dollars DUV machines. You people can't tell us to ban everything.
Allies officials: Please be more specific. What tools with what specs are exclusive to these below 16nm nodes.
US officials: Yes everything.
Allies officials:
1668263300299.png
US officials: I mean, you did it with Russia.
Allies officials: But that was because Russia invaded Ukraine. Is China taking Taiwan by military force NOW?
US officials: No now, but they can do it in the future. Better to act now and put sanctions now.
Allies officials: But that means will be using our FEW deterrence prematurely.
US officials: No because if they invade we put export controls on them.
Allies officials:
1668263724368.png
US officials: We also want you to put export controls on people working in China.
Allies officials: Wait what? You also want us to put export control on people, legally working in China? But exports control where not built to deal with that.
US officials: They are helping the enemy.
Allies officials: Are we officially in a war with China now?
US officials: No, but the CCP is the Soviet Union.
Allies officials: But is our biggest trade partner. We have our differences, but is our biggest trade partner nerveless. Unless we declare war on them. Do you want that?
US officials: Nope
US officials: Just do it.
Allies officials:
baby-facepalm_.gif
Allies officials:
This is not how we do things, please come back when you made your mind on what specifically you want to export control.

...Two weeks later. Ally official playing minigolf in the office.

1) The US is going to do that anyway no matter what the DPRK does or doesn't do.

2) Good. More targets for the PLA to destroy.

Trump now raging against Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, bizarrely says his name ‘sounds Chinese’

eq6lzxx5ncz91.png

Really though, 洋金 is our Caucasian comrade worth his weight in gold.

So to be honest, I am very disgusted with Trump.
He made no secret of his racism against Asians, and publicly vilified China during the COIVD-19 crisis.

Maybe his purpose is to blackmail more interests from China, but the bad influence has been spread to this day.
I never believed he had any "magic" that could save America.
He is just a demagogue who blames others without foundation and is good at shirking responsibility.

If he continues to accelerate the decline of the United States when he succeeds in taking office as the next president, I think it is not a bad thing. But I don't want his "brilliant negotiating art" to cause more incalculable damage.

In the US, guess which one will get you jail and fine:
A. Provide false blood test results which has an impact on a persons health.
B. Defraud investors $$ about the progress of your magic blood test

From wiki: On January 3, 2022, Holmes was found guilty on four counts of defrauding investors – three counts of wire fraud, and one of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. She was found not guilty on four counts of defrauding patients

You're right.

However, you gotta appreciate Trump's straightforwardness and honesty when it comes to hating China (same for the Republicans in general). The Trump administration even hosted "Fvck China Week" just for China!

The Democrats, meanwhile, are more cunning and sinister. Just compare the amount of damage done by Biden in just two years versus Trump in four years.

No wonder Mao said that the Republicans in the US are better for China. They are more consistent and predictable than the Democrats.

But in the end, the Democrats and Republicans can be summed up in this single picture:
Em6BvgFXIAEwlaV.png
One says "Fvck y0u China, g0 scr6w y0urs6lf", while the other says "Respectfully China, I would like to commit unspeakable acts of s6xu4l 1nt6rc0urs6 upon y0u, please do not resist".

Honestly speaking, though, both the Republicans and Democrats are doing their best in ruining the US right now.

Here's a comment I found on Twitter regarding the US elections: "Voting for either Dems or GOP is like voting for either side of the buttocks of the same person."

But hey - As long as those elites in Washington DC can keep creating as many Qian Xueshans for China as possible AND not trying to start a nuclear armageddon, China can just continue "enjoying" their antics while working hard behind the scenes to advance and perfect herself.

President Xi’s response.
