The stupidity of American lawmakers. Any rule like this and you can say goodbye to any company operating in China. Companies like Volkswagen will have their assets in China nationalised. Say goodbye to 60% of your worldwide sales overnight.

Then there's the fact that China could easily impose export sanctions of their own, which would hurt European countries far more. Imagine losing access to cheap Chinese consumer goods.

There's nothing most countries can do except be nice to China, unless they are prepared for a significant drop in living standards.

That's how inquisitions work throughout history. People who denounced others as communist during the McCarthy era found themselves denounced as Communists.

Look at RINOs... Would it be surprising that one anti-China organization is jealous of another...? Look at Hong Kong activist where they couldn't find a single leader for their movement. Harry Wu hated other Chinese activists demanding money for helping them. How much you want to bet that Minxin Pei hates Gordan Chang? He was the only noted Chinese China "expert" in the US before Gordan Chang made a name for himself.

See what happened last time when Taiwan bought French mirages, La Fayette and Dutch subs, and today's China is many times more capable of hurting them. Taiwan certainly want weapons from any country, but most countries can not afford the consequences to sell.

Of course Minxin Pei hates Gordon Chang. One is an actual anti Chinese racist, the other is a hero of socialist labor with Chinese characteristics, vanguard of the people, redder than red. As for which one is which...

Apparently, the Russian hacked Truss phone with the Pegasus spyware that is able to record phone conversations and messages. Hardly anything on this from the European. . If you had Chinese literacy education (which is mandatory) through high school in mainland China, you would not have much problem in understanding those literary expressions.

If those people in Taiwan are really more Chinese than mainlanders as they claimed to be, they should not have problems in understanding the literary expressions.

Anyone else are not really the audience anyway. I mean this People's daily article isn't aiming at foreigners.
