how long will this trip be, considering there are so many island states on the list ?

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay an official visit to the Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and East Timor upon invitation from May 26 to June 4, and will also visit Micronesia via video and have a virtual meeting with leaders of Cook Islands and Niue.

From a previous Global Times article.

Interesting analysis from the recent "wigger genocide" claims timed for the U.N. visit in Xinjiang by the usual insidious actors lead by the U.S.

This is the kind of thing I was hinting at before. If it was anonymously dumped on some random FTP server, maybe it would be more credible, but instead we have Zenzy-boy roll out his customized website, and no one questions it?

To their credit they didn't try to pass of BDSM porn as Chinese police torturing Uighurs this time.

OK I managed to hold myself from vomiting to look at Zenz's garbage site for 30 seconds
The photo is classified under "police drills", so it explains the no mags and cosplay looking situation (essentially it is).
Of course, the media headlines are quoting his "battlefield assault rifles" line everywhere and showing this picture (Of course this kind of practice and use of 'battlefield assault rifles' is really just a normal thing anywhere in the world)

US Police using Battlefield Assault Rifles to suppress local population (My version headline)

I remember people were complaining about the *MILITARIZATION OF POLICE* in North America, but since we saw a mass shooter who was shot, but since he had body armour, managed to kill the person that confronted him. So now we accept police firepower as a fact of life, but still since these photos are IN XINJIANG it is something shocking.

I'm so sick of the media darling Zenzy has become. In the age of cancel culture where people dig up 20 year old tweets made when you were a stupid teenager to discredit you, somehow he can write a whole book with gays going to hell and he's presented as the world's foremost expert on Xinjiang despite never setting foot there.

seem either they release the reserves or they were much less in EU jurisdiction. At some point things will get to normal between Western EU and Russia as dependencies of EU increases on Middleast/Africa. but what will not back to normal is Eastern EU all the way to Canada with its outsize role of Canadian-Ukranian. Western EU will recoup its losses from them.
Western EU will tightly control pharma, high end industrial goods to put pressure on trade partners.

I don't know why countries put restrictions on GMO in the first place, I know that some GMO are toxic because of the crops producing toxic insecticide chemicals, but this is a problem of safety testing and regulation of the companies not because GMO inherently bad. Hopefully more countries would look into allowing and investing GMO crops in the future, in order to deal with a world with worsening climate and environment conditions.
GMO's problem isn't all about the food itself, but potential of killing bio diversity if not managed right. All organisms have defect/disadvantage, natural or GMO. GMO creates a extremely favourable variant to survive. That favourable is ONLY relative to the specific need of human at a specific time against specific insects, virus. Time can change to make such variant unfavourable to newly emerged virus or bacterium or climate etc. If GMO is allowed to displace all other variants, human would be doomed to extinction. Good example is in the movie "Interstellar".

Human is actually doing similar things for the past thousands of years by breeding the preferable variant of wheat from wild wheat for example. But that is not comparable to GMO. GMO is natural breeding on steroid, it is much faster. The difference is similar to the difference of greenhouse gas release by human between pre-industrialization and today.

GMO must be well managed before it can be allowed to spread, just like we must not allow new industries introducing more CO2.

GMO is also about national survival. Nowadays, there are less and less variants of wheat and rice planted around the globe compared to decades ago. These variants are mostly in the hand of big western companies. GMO will speed up the further concentration. From a national security perspective, there is a resistance of allowing foreign GMO to be cultivated and sold domestically.
