@Dolcevita bro we had the software but not the hardware, like the Chinese in the Semiconductor thread the oligarch control the IP and restrict it usage making a pyramid service economy that cater to their business and wealth. They know when to use the trigger with the US and the West as a willing accomplice. Brother the enemy is within China is a distraction or a bogeyman to scare people and also to target its business competitor the Chinese TAIPANS, the goals and objective are aligned with the US so they conspire and control gov't covertly. The Filipinos I know are full of smart hard-working and gentle people. It is unfortunate that it is still generally a poor developing country. I believe the Philippines has so much potential to prosper and solve the social problems given a strongly consistent leadership. It in unfortunate that the government has not yet fully escape the inherited oligarchy legacy of the past. Wishing you all the best.
Lol going to war against a soon to be armed with 1000 nukes country, don't know if this defence minister is d**b or suicidalThere you have it folks. Australia does want to get into the action against China and yet these guys complains like broken hearted hyenas when China responds in kind.
Why not?how?
@brother like what I said from my previous post the Stars are aligning for the Rise of China, and the Gods are smiling and are readying the welcome mat. One of these stars is the RCEP (Asian economic integration), Russian China understanding, effective pandemic respond, America economic malaise that may lasted 10 years or more and this coming Philippine presidential election. Why not?
The Philippines used to be a Spanish colony, and it became an American colony after some old war.
The age of decolonization kind of ended around 65 years ago when everyone broke free and declared independence in Africa.
But the American military remained in the Philippines due to the threat of communism. The original Cold War ended 30 years ago.
Americans are still there in the Philippines with their military. For what exactly?
Now we are going to see Filipino leadership who detests the Americans.
Also, they will look to China for more investment.
Everyone can see which direction the wind is blowing.
In the old days, when confronted with a political situation like this, the CIA will go back into its bag of tricks and do that coup thingy again.

Australia is not a real nation per se, it is simply a repository for cannon fodder for anglo wars; you raised Gallipoli but did you know that Galipoli is lionised in australia? So they want another Gallipoli, where they were sent as cannon fodder by the British, and then massacred by the Turks. Maybe Taiwan will be Gallipoli part 2, LOL.

@horse bro for the Chinese an alliances is burden just look at North Korea, it is better to coalesce or an understanding than a formal alliance, you will have freedom to moved and act and only the weak seek it, just look at India as an example a willing participant in the QUAD but was let go cause it was a burden to be associate with. The Germans had their Italian allies to count on ...
What ASEAN needs is a Code of Conduct in the South China Sea, this will release quiet some of the pressure the US is cooking in the Region. If China can start developing their resource sharing deals with their counterparts in the SCS and ASEAN people can feel some of the profit sharing from those deals. I think US propaganda will loose some of its effectiveness in building up pressure in the Area.@horse bro for the Chinese an alliances is burden just look at North Korea, it is better to coalesce or an understanding than a formal alliance, you will have freedom to moved and act and only the weak seek it, just look at India as an example a willing participant in the QUAD but was let go cause it was a burden to be associate with.
