I made this argument when I was at work in Canada arguing against a black colleague of mine. He didn't like that I was complaining that there's hardly any ball players in the NBA and that there should be an athletic affirmative action thereby allowing participants from Asian backgrounds to enter and participate in North American sports like basketball. I also stated that's impossible for me to believe that there's no Asian athletes either in America or in Asia that's good enough to play in the big leagues.

After all, if economics is going to be factored with the inclusions of Asians the revenues generated from Asian countries and from Asian-Americans are quite substantial, which is why the NBA happily encourages it's players to tour China, the Philippines (basketball crazy country of 100Million) so the league like the NBA is more than happily taking our money but we're being told we ain't good enough to play in the league?
My colleague's reaction was predictably incredulous and mockingly said that Asians aren't that athletic enough or talented enough to play in the NBA. I retorded back and ask how and where is he basing this nonsensensical and frankly racist views from? Common sense!! He tersely replied.
Sorry, but I’d have to question your mental state if arguing with a black, North American, about sports.
I’m a black, North American, and I don’t even argue with these fools about sports; these deluded fools treat it as some kind of religion, or at least a critically significant social phenomenon.

It ain’t!

LOL, wonder if she has ever said anything about the brutal repression going on in Kashmir and Khalistan. They need to be free.
Not just Kashmir, it's representation of every minority in the country
The stories that are coming out of India are absolutely shocking and horrifying and

they're not fake news either as my Muslim Indian friends brother is in jail getting tortured on a daily basis on top of paying bribes because he married a Hindu which is illegal in parts of India

I have no idea why people are not talking about it, things are really bad thier

But Shah was successful because he was a secular

Shah was friends with both Pak and Saudi since he didn't interfere in religious hegammany of Saudi

This Iran is different, they actively challenge the religious hegammany of Saudia and because of that no major Muslim is thier Ally since the hegammany of minor sect is unacceptable to other muslim countries (remember Iran is not a secular country rn even though it's people are)

Including Pak, Egypt, Indonesia (although they just stay out) and almost every other Muslim country Iran is an outcast

You can't control middle east through an outcast unless Iran becomes secular and accept Saudi relgious hegammany I am afraid they'll stay a rouge regime in middle east and wider Muslim world
The Shah was successful because of oil, Anglo-American support, and an SS like secret police.

The Arab nations aren’t loyal to the Saudis because of any religious affinity, they’re loyal to the Saudis because the Saudis are the Anglo-American’s chosen lackeys and because the Arab consciousness has been corrupted by the USD.

Iran is the only ME country that has shown the independent spirit of willingness to suffer the consequences of not bowing down to the Anglo-American empire.

I believe that the Sunni/Shia conflict is overblown, something the A-A Empire has exacerbated and exploited to their advantage.

I wanted to gain my colleague's insights, perspectives and understanding of his views on the subject matter as a person of color. And about my mental state, I was and am lucid and sane.

I tried to insert an emoji to lo you know I wasn’t being serious (about you). As for the sports obsession, here, I was wholly serious.

In my experience, too many persons (and communities) of color fail to globalize the issues of racial discrimination, neglecting those instances or histories of its perpetration against those not of their race/ethnicity, and, that’s too bad! I interpret this as a cultural artifact of clan-based social organization. This is a primary reason that I consider Malcom X the more relevant of all late 20th century Afro-American critical commentators as the globalization of the issue was a fundamental component of his approach.

Putin is slick as F*k. Chinese leaders can learn a few things from Putin in terms of press conferences/interviews.
Wang Yi is charismatic af. He is godlike on these kind of things.

Now for Xi, he is obviously in a entire different (lower) league but he more than makes up with it by being good on his work.

IMO system works fine. Xi does his job as the head of state, and Wang Yi also does his job as a diplomat

Ofc charisma and stage presence/PR (correct phrase?) are always important but you can only get what you have and Xi is very good on what he is doing.

Then there's Yang Jiechi who's straight-up a butcher when he carved up Blinken and Sullivan like nobody's business.
