We had an argument before where you and many other people told me that China should not use blood and treasure to help Palestine.
Right, not now because the cost and risk to us would be enormous. We are absolutely not equipped to fight the US in the middle east. But in the future, when China dominates and can end this conflict to our choosing with little to no cost or risk, I believe we should do it.
So which is it: benevolence and mercy or Chinese interests first and foremost? Why does China owe nothing to Palestine while China should show mercy to the Philippines? Why does the Philippines, who is solidly in the American camp, deserve any sort of relief while they are actively contributing to the containment of China?
I didn't say they deserve this mercy, nor did I say it's my choice to give it. It's actually not; I'm not that nice a person. It's the CCP's choice, which I always respect but I'm saying it's funny to disqualify a nation as a superpower for this.
I'm trying the square the inconsistent foreign policy here. If we follow the logical conclusion of the argument we had before, Chinese blood and treasure will not be used to bail out its adversaries. The Philippines should be left to suffer the consequences of aligning with the US.
How we must act now vs how we can act when we've displaced the US as the most widely-recognized permier power of the world are completely different. There's conflicts we should not risk now that would be trivial to control then.
