Trump has been pushing for strategic realignment with Russia since before the election. Destroying US-Europe relations and creating the conditions for a US-Russia energy duopoly by setting the Middle East on fire are consistent with achieving this goal. More concerning is the fact that such an alignment makes great geostrategic sense for both US and Russia.

If he survives this term, this may just be crazy enough to work… NOT.

If US let Russia have the entire Ukraine or combined forces to crush Ukraine, I think Russia will be more than happy to align with the US. And US needs to drop all sanctions. This deal is difficult to pass.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration announced it would close the camp by 31 March and that the evacuees would not be taken to the US, plunging hundreds like Alia into fear and uncertainty.

Their anxiety has surged since Qatar started to be hit by Iranian attacks. CAS is roughly 12 miles (19km) from Al-Udeid US air base, which has been repeatedly struck by Iran.

The group has collectively sent out this message: "The danger is not directed at Qatar itself, the actual targets are American bases in Qatar one of which is us... The emotional situation of children, pregnant women and the elderly is concerning. People wander about the corridors and cry."

They have appealed to US President Donald Trump to make a one-off exception for them due to the volatile situation.

"This group of people are not just random refugees that showed up in Qatar. They were brought there by the United States government and told that they would be moving to the United States," says Shawn VanDiver, a US military veteran who runs AfghanEvac, a charity that has helped resettled Afghans who aided the US effort.

"These are all people that for one reason or another were connected to the United States mission [in Afghanistan]. And because of that connection, they're in danger."

The morons should listen to this podcast

Thanks for posting. The person does not know Russian elites. likely fall for Putin disinformation. East Europeans are colonized/dependent for so long that they only think interms of dependencies. Russia has independent scientific base and Co-Chair of OPEC+. Always maintain trade surplus , low debt and has import substitution policies.
The decree 809 by Putin about traditional value is studied in Saudi Arabia. so far advance is that Russian islamic civilization that Putin does not want to use Hard Power despite the most powerful Air force and probably most powerful rocket force. with force structure reaching 2.5m. These Russian muslims want to sort out Islamic world and create Unipolarity in Islam.
Lavrov is not Russian elite. when Kadyrov son had wedding. The Russian government guests were specifically chosen by Putin as he want to show early age marriages in Grozny to real ethnic Russians.

Moscow Mufti: Decree on traditional values popular in Islamic countries

"The establishment and political circles (of Saudi Arabia – TASS) are closely studying our legislation and our policies. We translated Decree 809 into Arabic and handed it over to highly respected individuals. They respect this document and say that in the modern world, it is crucial to strengthen the policy of preserving spiritual and moral values. In other words, we agree with them on this," the mufti said.

regarding Autos. before the 2022 there were two large Auto groups in Russia. Autovaz-Renault-Nissan and Hyundai-Kia. The rest small.
now that Hyundia-Kia-Nissan side went through UAE/CIS but premium side of German-RR-Toyota/Lexus went through highly likely Saudi. now this create situation where new cars are only 1 million of sales but used cars are 7 million of market dominated by Japanese and Korean. Toyota and Lexus is Saudi Arabia.

The surge was led by used cars and cosmetics. SME exports of used cars jumped 76.3% year-on-year to $8.97 billion. This growth was fueled by rising preferences for Korean used cars in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries like Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as in the Middle East, particularly the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Notably, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the largest importer of Korean used cars.

Those would be obvious preconditions, and I don't think Trump would hesitate at all to make such a deal- the question is whether or not Putin would accept it. US would need to offer a lot more than that for Putin to consider. I think at a minimum, the US would need to leave NATO and enter into a new strategic and defense framework with Russia as an equal partner.

Trump will face alot of opposition from Congress and Europe. It is a complete 180 degree realignment.

Trump talked a bunch of stuff but getting it done is difficult. Taking Cuba and Venezuela are easy task but other tasks are more challenging. .
