Sending ISIS to Afghanistan to attack Chinese interests in the belief it will somehow create instability and degrade China-Afghan relations is something that falls in line with current CIA and Israeli competency.

What it could also do is give China and Afghanistan a common enemy.
China cannot have good relations with Afghanistan when Taliban is openly hostile to Pakistan and openly allies with India. This attack will likely lead to a much needed public collapse of the relationship.

It's high time for China to divest from Afghanistan regardless of their rare mineral abundance.. Simply not worth the instability

If there is a problem, then the idea is to do a deep analysis and figure out what is the root cause at the bottom rather than just calling it quits. China didn't get this far by giving up problem solving.

Personally I believe India is involved in this. I think China needs to step up the offense in playing these sort of proxy games. India really thinks its the only country that can do this but China was literally able to create large rebel groups in India itself. China can easy show them how its done if it takes off the kids gloves.

And leave the country to her arch rivals to shape and foster even more enmity against China? Are we this daft and cowardly?
Afghanistan has already allied with India and has put pressure on China's biggest ally against India, that is Pakistan. Its time to boot out the pro-India elements out of the current govt and replace them with the right voices. If not, then Isolating and eventually collapsing the Taliban is necessary.

India's doesn't even recognize the current Taliban government officially. They're just trying to suck up to them after betting on the wrong horse when the previous government failed.

There has to be a way around this. Its not like they're sworn blood brothers or anything.

Afghanistan is literally waging a war against Pakistan with likely Indian support. This happened just few months ago. It is Pakistan that bet on the wrong horse by supporting the Taliban all these years, hoping they can end the Indian influence in Afghanistan. But that didn't happen.

I think the Taliban needs to go, either replaced a by pro-Pakistn govt or Afghanistan needs to be broken into pieces that are fighting each other and thus not putting pressure on Pakistan. Only when the western border is secure that Pakistan can put focus on its eastern border and put pressure on India. Only when India is under pressure from Pakistan, is China safe from Indian designs on Tibet.
