Not to be rude, but china is very much not a war culture, they are, like the Greeks, a bureaucratic culture. Nor is British culture war culture, its adventurer culture, hensewhy they loved colonising worthless rocks, and defending those rocks (falklands). Only war culture would be Slavic and Turkish culture, IE: Afghanistan, Mongolia, Russia. Also any culture can fight good, greeks brits and chinese, even if they arent warrors, just dont expect every man and women to show up to the enlistment office!
Qing CCP Ming all avoided war at all cost for example
Such war culture depends and fluctuates on the cultures of each dynasty; tang dynasty was definitely more warlike than the song for instance and the fact that uprisings and revolutions are frequent when Chinese citizenry are dissatisfied with incompetent leadership are proof that Chinese culture possesses what the Germans call “that Faustian spirit”. Looking at how docile the Anglo led western public is and how eager they are to follow their feudal lords’ diktat to make war on China rather than doing as the French did and mount a revolution makes me wonder how much of that adventurer spirit was really their own myth making.

I’m old enough to remember when western Atlanticist Anglo commentators told Chinese and Asians that they could never innovate because they clamped down on free speech. Meanwhile China has 5G, hypersonic and rare earth manufacturing and explored the dark side of the moon whilst the US has 50 pronouns and work assured for its lawyer ruling class.

This nonsense about "warrior culture" ignores the fundamentals of dialectical materialism: culture is a result of material conditions.

The armies of Akkad, Egypt, Greece, and Persia rose with the Bronze Age, bolstered by nearby sources of copper in Anatolia and tin in the Zagros Mountains. When this was superseded by iron, a much more available resource, they were surpassed by the Latins and Celts, and inevitably the Germans and Slavs. Lighter and stronger iron allowed cavalry to surpass chariots, and they dominated warfare until gunpowder made its way west and defeated them. When gunpowder conquered Constantinople, Europeans were forced to the sea, with which they shipped goods in bulk. The resulting commodification required greater coordination, resulting in the centralization of the state.

Were the hoplites of Alexander the Great the greatest warrior culture?
Were the legions of Rome the greatest warrior culture?
Were the riders of Genghis Khan the greatest warrior culture?
Were the slave-soldiers of the Turks the greatest warrior culture?
Were the sailors of Nelson the greatest warrior culture?
Were the sans-culottes of Napoleon the greatest warrior culture?

There is no warrior culture. Culture is derived from material realities. All warfare is thus fundamentally material.

Who will liberate Ladakh from feudalism?
Modi's government split Ladakh off from Indian-administered Kashmir in 2019, imposing direct rule on both after cancelling the region's partial autonomy.

Since then, resentment has been growing in Ladakh over New Delhi's rule.
Veteran leader Chering Dorjay has become the main voice of the protesters.

"We have been used like slaves," Dorjay, 77, said, vowing to continue the struggle in the days to come.

Warrior culture is incredibly overrated by ignorant chuds who are still in their HOI4/Crusader Kings/AOE2/UFC phase.

Ironically I learnt about how overrated it was from places like 4chan.

Think about it. Even Romans who are known for their huge empire aren't really warriors but engineers and construction workers who happen to have a very efficient army. The warrior culture were those Germans and Huns to the north who they looked down on as barbarians. Just look at the track record of warrior cultures such as Sparta. Most of them got their asses kicked eventually coz they never bothered to develop on any other field. Mongols invented little and now China owns their best land. It wouldn't even exist if for Russia intervening who use their ethnic minority warriors to do the dirty work for them.

Btw Conan the barbarian isn't even a barbarian warrior in the first movie. I watched it and I was surprised how he resorted to stealth, trickery and traps most of the time. Apparently he hates being called a barbarian since he can read.
Well now, Conan the Cimmerian did learn his fighting skills in what is now China.

Do they know that the incentive to invest in EVs and EV infrastructure is to phase out fossil fuels vehicles? Of course not, W.D.C. Clown Stooge brains can only think "muh national security", like a chimp on Meth, without having even a knee deep understanding of the subject.

I read a book by an American comparing cultures between China, the US, and Japan, and it made the argument that Chinese and American cultures are both highly innovative, but Japanese culture is not.

Still, this article gives some justification for China to refocus on technological self-sufficiency, even if it costs a bit of GDP growth in the short term. The long-term benefits will more than make up for short-term losses.

They're trying to protect their own fledgling ICE auto industry after being beaten in the EV sector all the while they themselves were doing the propaganda for EV. It's a massive blow to their strategy.

Imagine trying to convince everybody for the past 30 years that the green apple is better than the red apple, and in the end when everybody is convinced, you find out that you actually cannot produce the green apple efficiently, and even worse, your #1 foe can do it easily. That's where they're at now.

I dunno if it's the algorithm or if it's genuinely trending.

My feed on Weibo is filled with two things right now. K-visa and Indian bashing. Given that it's national day, you would figure the topic would be about China.

It is real.

It is the proverbial cliches about once the toothpaste is out of the tube, sort of thing. Once someone said it out loud, in Canada at least, that so and so is doing such and such, and us good nature Canadian citizens are getting the shaft, then this situation has to run its course, no matter how long it takes.

We have to be aware of this situation, because this is not confined to merely Toronto and its suburbs, but nationally, and in other countries too, if we can believe that. Seems to me the story is always the same too. Sort of funny I find.

But, people are not laughing. There is some tension, but I rather take a more optimistic view of things, that eventually the government will come to its senses and put the interests of Canadian citizens above foreigners. These are foreigners, not immigrants. That is a key distinction.

Then articles from basically a major national newspaper, about such topics, does not help the social environment. That I think that is deliberate. They want to create a fuss, get it out in the open.

This was published today, the National Post is a Canada wide newspaper. They doing strange things even in rural Ontario.
