This is bad news. The international trade barriers erected by the United States are growing ever higher and longer.
I feel like they can only do either a small yard, tall fence strategy or big yard, short fence strategy. Trying to take on elements of both is not feasible.

What's exactly is the purpose of CNA constantly bashing China?
there is an internal balance in Singapore. CNA bashes China and glorifies the West while Lianhe Zaobao supports China and attacks the West. George Yeo and Kishore support China and condemn the West while Bilahari and Colin Koh bash China and worship the West. The government allows both to happen (all of these guys are government-adjacent and couldn't possibly speak so openly without permission) so that there is always someone available to play suck up to any party no matter who gets the upper hand

Time to move UN HQ out of USA

Honestly, if the current Venezuela-US situation resulted in one of their cruise missiles destroying the canal, it would be a huge geo-strategic blow to the US. (although I think Venezuelan missiles don't have the range, considering the distance, however they have Iranian drones now.) Any Chinese shipping loss of use of the canal would be an acceptable sacrifice. With all the American fantasies of destroying Three Gorges, the karmic irony would be hilarious as well.
Can a drone destroy a canal?
Direct personel bombing might be the only option. I'm not sure how a canal can even be bombed? Maybe target the locks, but that seems quickly repairable? Best option might be to target some large vessels inside the canal so they get stuck like that one vessel that jammed the Suez Canal.

I forgot about KGM-600

And Indians released their movie of May 7.. lololol

I am sure you know nothing about Singaporeans.
LKY made sure we learn our culture, language and roots.

Our media is controlled by those who made CNA to keep refering to " West Philippines Sea ".
But our young are being brainwashed with subtle anti-China propaganda, through all our media, especially our English media.
Fortunately I can see the tide turning with the Gaza genocide happening.
.
People who base their international political views on slop consumption are frankly on a level of stupid that's hard to comprehend. I get those vibes from those pro-western, pro-japan asian libs from here alot.

It sounds unbelieveably childish and stupid if anyone were to say I side with Japan on political issues because I love anime slop, but that's the level of alot of asian libs are operating at. Don't know about history, don't care about politics, just consume slop and have it be the backbone of opinion on countries somehow.

Trump adviser calls Ukraine conflict 'Modi's war' as US tariffs on India rise

White House official has described Russia's ongoing war with Ukraine as Indian Prime Minister Narendra "Modi's war", stepping up pressure on Delhi to stop buying oil from Moscow.

US Trade Adviser Peter Navarro's comments came hours after US tariffs of 50% on Indian goods kicked in on Wednesday.
The tariffs, among the highest in the world, include a 25% penalty for purchase of weapons and oil from Russia which, the US claims, is a key source of funds for its war in Ukraine.

India has called the tariffs unfair and says it will not scale back purchases, insisting it will seek the "best deal" on oil to safeguard the interests of its 1.4 billion people.

Russia, which supplied less than 2% of India's crude before it invaded Ukraine in February 2022, now accounts for 35-40% of Delhi's oil imports, making it the largest source.

But India has pointed out that the US has not imposed similar additional tariffs on China, which is the largest importer of Russian oil, or the European Union, which still conducts a huge amount of trade with Russia.

Navarro's iteration of the US position came in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

"Everybody in America loses because of what India is doing. The consumers and businesses and everything lose, and workers lose because India's high tariffs cost us jobs, factories and income and higher wages. And then the taxpayers lose because we got to fund Modi's war," he was quoted saying.

When asked if he actually meant "Putin's war" instead, Mr Navarro said: "I mean Modi's war, because the road to peace runs, in part, through New Delhi."

Navarro then went on to add: "What's troubling to me is that the Indians are so arrogant about this. They say, 'Oh, we don't have higher tariffs. Oh, it's our sovereignty. We can buy oil from anyone we want.' India, you're the biggest democracy in the world, okay, act like one."

Navarro's comments came on the day US tariffs of 50% on goods from India took effect, a move that will disrupt millions of livelihoods across the country's export-driven industries. India supplies everything, from clothes to diamonds and shrimp to American consumers.

But despite the war of words between Delhi and Washington - and cancellation of trade negotiations which were set to begin earlier this week - there is still hope of a way out for India, which remains a vital strategic US partner in the Indo-Pacific region.

Analysts say comments by another US official - Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent - expressing confidence in bilateral ties with India point in that direction.

"I do think India's the world's largest democracy; the US is the world's largest economy. I think at the end of the day we will come together," Mr Bessent said in an interview with Fox Business on Wednesday.

The tariff setback has sent the Indian government into firefighting mode. Delhi has said the immediate impact on Indian exports appears limited, but the ripple effects on the economy pose challenges that require immediate solutions.

Earlier this month, Modi promised to cut taxes to mitigate the impact of tariffs.

So now the war in Ukraine is India fault.

Wonder if any deal with Russia will get signed? I've been following recently that a lot of Ukrainian drones hit Russian oil refineries, I wonder if China may provide Russia with many laser systems to shut down the drones near important civilian areas if it would count as lethal military aid.
Russia can certainly test equipment but Russia is very advanced in air defense but It still has to operate under Putin constraints just like from first day it is called SMO not a war. so what is Putin constraints for 2025. It is called Traditional Values. when Putin start repeating some thing in public it means people are not listening. the more Putin confident about SMO the more he will make things worse for those who do not follow traditional values.
what has gasoline has to do with traditional values. because Putin encourages vacation in particular regions and there must have been complaints for too many vehicles on roads. better take public transport. Zelenski drones have disrupted air transport.

Yet,stupidly the one country that over ran it and subjected it to a taste of the savage brutalities was ...Japan.And now is defending this former attacker? Elite capture indeed.

They used to have a museum on Sentosa island where they had some exhibits on the savagery of the occupation. It was one of the sites where the Japanese performed mass executions on the beach. I visited as a kid, the first time I ever saw photos of the brutality of the Japanese during the war. Growing up in Canada, Asia doesn't exist in history (just Ancient Romans and Greeks, and Europeans) Did they take this out now to accommodate tourists?
