Why are we suddenly using the Chinese name for William? For his entire professional career, Taiwan's William has requested to be called William.

If so, let's continue referring to William Lai as William. We should respect the wishes of President William.

It's an appropriate name. Williams are known for their green thumb.

If the world doesn't care then they certainly doesn't care about countries using proxies to fight wars.
But humans do care, and the world is human, well, most of the world.

People say that the Arabs, this is either a lament or someone being impolite, saying the Arabs in general have always been losing for the last 500 years, and that is why they are like that.

The Arab mentality has been on the losing end for 500 years.

So that meme, is harsh, but that is the reality in recent decades. Which really is just a continuation of the past unfortunately.

China was once described as such, do you also argue China deserved colonial oppression? Do you argue PLA was just as guilty as the Japaneses because PLA fought back and nationalists didn't?

Arabs have their faults and there are better choices they could have made, but there is no room in the civilized world to ever equate their resistance to European colonial genocide with those committing genocide.
