China doesn't owe anyone help. But China isn't doing anything to get others to love them. It's a simple explanation I'm giving. If you want allies, if you want to be loved, it's not for free. Not so difficult to understand, is it?

China doesn't need others to love it, international relations isn't a high school popularity contest. It's like watching Hetalia or Polandball for guidance on international relations.
You know, something I noticed with these posts is its always China that bears the burden. Its never what country XXX must do to be loved by China.
Please understand what bargaining position you are speaking from.

It depends if they're smart enough to know that the enemy of their enemy is their friend. China might not have the power projection capabilities today to fight for them in the middle-east, but China is their only hope of a future that isn't dominated by the West all helping Israel commit genocide against Muslims. If they want that future, China is the only way, regardless of whether or not there is direct aid or even relations between them and China. So if they don't like China because China didn't send our military to kill off Israel right now or directly do them some other major favor, they're not smart enough to be useful allies anyway. Not so difficult to understand, is it?
Looks like things got heated here, I'm gonna say something very cold and pragmatic to cool the temperature.
China does not need to be loved, what China does like is reliable partners in mutually beneficial relationship. Reliable as in not changing their minds once in a while, reliable as in capable of maintaining internal stability by their own; Iran is neither.

The one thing that China could do for an internationalist foreign policy is also one that is not possible until their internal economy far exceeds the US.
Some people are complaining that Iran doesn't love China. All I'm doing is explaining why this is the case. If China doesn't want to be liked by others that's totally fine. It's just hypocritical from certain members to complain that Iranian public opinion isn't as pro China as they think they deserve, when China's actions havent always been very friendly to Iran.
Please understand. I'm not saying that China is doing anything wrong, it's a fair strategy. But if your strategy is to go it alone, why are you surprised that others don't worship you?
Just to add on my previous post. China did try with Iran, reconciliation between Iran and Saudi, 400bil strategic cooperation agreement.
Apparently the investment plan was torpedoed by Iranian's internal opposition citing risk of internal markets being controlled by China. I suppose that is reasonable concern, although I'll bet if US were to propose the same investment plan the same Iranians would gladly welcome it with open legs, don't you agree?
