As I said before, the US is far more entrenched than people give it credit. US vassals whether they talk big or not will fall in line because they are deeply compromised by US intelligence and money.

The US could assassinate almost anyone they want especially in a country like Mexico. It demonstrated this during the Cold War by overthrowing all the governments in Latin America that opposed them. Only Cuba was successful in keeping itself independent. Everyone else will bend the knee.

They do export circuits, medical equipment, chemical equipment, electrical equipment, etc. Beside raw and refined materials and commodities. Of course value wise it isn’t high but China shouldn’t sit down and let Mexico tariff and economically attack them without repercussions.
President Sheinbaum has been a disappointment, I can see why President Xi didn't give her an official meeting during the last G20.

Coming soon. The US Territory of Mexico instead of 53rd State.

And beside the previous news of Mexico actions about China. They are targeting Chinese companies. Depending on how Mexico goes forward. China should launch economic retaliation on all Mexican products.
Except WSJ made that up.

Mexico didn't halt BYD plant and certainly has nothing to do with Trump, BYD paused plans last September until after US election, since then Mexico has been complaining BYD hasn't given any firm proposal and isn't serious.

China gives Mexico massive leverage and it's obviously in US interest to try drive a wedge between China and Mexico.

Case in point telling Canada that Mexico proposed matching China tariffs when Canada has been coordinating with Mexico and if Mexico actually proposed it Canada would already know.

It’s interesting how smart people can be so dumb. Go to 02:38:31 where Quentin Tarantino wannabe, Palmer Luckey, talks about China. He says because of DeepSeek, American technology companies have finally realized China ain’t their friend. Ain’t their friend because China shows it can do things without the US? Yes all countries that are true friends of the US would allow them to exploit your country and steal all your money by being dependent on the US. Because of DeepSeek Xi Jinping can no longer string US tech companies along with the promise of making money from 1.4 billion people. Now they’re all going to not go to China to exploit cheap labor to lower their costs for their products so people can’t buy them? No, US companies are not going to China because the US government has outlawed it. If there was no law, they would still be kissing Xi Jinping’s feet because not only do they need Chinese inexpensive innovative hardware but they need the Chinese market to sell to.

Why else did Palmer Badluckey have his Oculus Rift made in China? The US was smart enough to not move its manufacturing and technology prowess to Nazi Germany and Japan during WWII nor send it to the Soviet Union during the Cold War but still dumb to send it to China? Now because of China’s “misstep” over DeepSeek, US technology companies got wind of China’s plot to be independent and they can shut off the pipeline when the Western pundits are already saying China has surpassed the US on technology. Yeah the people whining about critical strategic supply chains from China and the rest of the world being denied from them think they have the upper hand over China now…?

First Alex Karp and now this guy. Right-wing/libertarian tech bros aren’t as smart as they think.
