The problem is that they think their vote in Democrats or Republicans actually matters. DEI, LGBT stuff, immigration, tariffs etc

People are idiots. The real war is the class war. Is a war between the Rich and Poor. And the poor don't even know they are at a war and instead keep infighting lol

Rich oligarchs are going to make so much bank with Trump, it's going to be beautiful. Meanwhile the MAGA folks will be celebrating their DEI win while they slide into poverty.

Chinese leaders know about the class war. Xi Jinping though, he is indeed special. He made everyone a huge favour by taking down Jack Ma. Money is money, power is power. The moment someone tries to influence power by money or other means, he must and will be taken down.

All started at 11:00. That's what attempt to influence power looks like

I think China's countermoves against Trump are usually calculated and deliberate. We often don't see the extent of their effects until sometime have passed. A small number of these moves are tactical moves, such as imposing counter-tariffs and making counter-propaganda media. They were meant to shore up domestic morale and quell misunderstandings. Sometimes, China chooses not to react at all, because it was either a trap by the enemy, or that the enemy has made a blunder.

When China complains to the WTO, it was also meant to lead Canada and Mexico to also make their own WTO complains against America. Let's see if they would actually grow some spine and do it. They will not win, but at least they are showing symbolic defiance against Trump before folding. If they won't do it, then the rest of the world might get inspired to challenge America in the WTO when Trump comes after them. Then, Trump is gonna get a lot more pushback than he bargained for.

Trump being able to scare his allies into submission implies little as they are vassals to begin with. Killing chickens do not give you leverage when negotiating with tigers.

For now, lets put the WTO front and center to show adherence to the rules, and later down the line can always take counter actions to effectively punish and further deter the US

Its all a big show after all. Everyone knows that US has blocked WTO, but at least China will be showing its willingness to follow WTO rules which will significantly alleviate fears that China is a rogue actor and further magnify the difference between it and the US

When fighting a global war against the Hegemon, taking the moral high ground and showing leadership is important. Soft power is an amplifier of your hard power after all
