Good response. Among the clown show happening in North America, emphasize that you take action:
  • Bring WTO case. International rules based order, literally showing the world the difference between rogue and responsible states. US is clearly not a leader, China is. Let the whole world realize this
  • Bait Trump to do something against WTO. Maybe even withdraw from it lol
  • Force the US to officially respond to WTO China's claim and thus make it an even further global laughing stock
  • Being calm. Not panicking shows that you are confident, serious and methodical. You are like a stable mountain. If you guys panik about Trump, how about joining my serious, means-business club instead

  • Show to the world the empty American useless arguments while also showing their inability to address Fentanyl stems from their domestic issues
  • Clearly state to the world that US is not rational and threatens tariffs on other countries. One country against many, create a Everyone vs 1 country rhetoric

  • We are going to end anti-drug cooperation and let the invisible hand of the marketTM deal with you lol

Orange man won't know what has hit him by the time China has finished dealing with the US. Not even funny tbh, it's like seeing a young person hitting a demented elder

While all that above stuff is well and good, some immediate concrete countermeasures need to be taken as well. Trump is not subtle or smart so any subtle countermove will not be noticed. He will not connect cause and effect so it would have no deterrent effect unless those around him who notice it can get to him. Even that is a bit uncertain as Trump has an oppositional streak. The more you tell him to do something or not do something, the more likely he is to do the opposite just out of spite.

Trump is the perfect example of why you don’t need intelligence or education to become a billionaire in the US, just the right connections, with such an unnatural obsession with tariffs.

It’s honestly staggering how he made so much money without understanding even the most basic economic principles.

He genuinely believes the US is doing the world a favor by buying their tangible goods with intangible money, rather than exchanging an equivalent amount of US-made products.

But what he fails to realize is that the world is actually doing the US a favor, handing over real goods that America can use to generate economic activity, in exchange for essentially nothing but a virtual currency.

Whereas countries could've used that to trade with one another for real goods first, and generate that economic activity themselves, without first needing to sell it to the US for useless dollars and waste so much value.

And that currency? It eventually has to be recycled into US assets, which can be seized at any time.

Since the US barely produces anything anymore, the only way it can sustain its economy is by bringing in goods from other countries. Yet, Trump thinks the world is ripping off America when in reality, it’s the other way around.

For example, he probably looks down on Canada and Mexico, but they have much stronger and healthier economies than the US.

Now, with digital currencies and superior modern fintech, the global reliance on the US dollar is becoming obsolete. Countries can just trade in their own currencies, preserving their surplus value instead of having it siphoned off by the US.

And ironically, Trump is giving them every reason to speed up that transition and replace the current chaotic decelerated global economic and political system with something much better next.

I can vouch that pretty much everyone I know hates the orange idiot (across racial/gender lines) and even people who voted for him because of the Democrat gaslighting about US economy now regret it very much. He has no support internationally or abroad, barring the oligarchs.

Well unfortunately for them, there is no time machine available. So... as their orange leader likes to say:

These are small steps towards a bigger outcome. China always plays the strategic game. It is not going to be too bothered by small and noisy victories. When the win comes, it is gonna be so big that China needs not do any talking. China is slowly taking over leadership of world trade, by creating a law-based world order, instead of a rule-based world order. China wants to show that it abides by the WTO, even when its laws are skewed by the West. Let the US lose more credibility while China gains more credibility.

Trump and Modi are masters at boasting. They like to boast about every little victory they can get. Trump in 2018 said that trade wars are easy to win. Then here is Trump again in 2025, launching trade war rematch with China. Modi announced in 2014 that Make in India is gonna make India displace China as the world's factory. Come 2025, and India's economy had actually deindustrialized.

China can do very dramatic things, but these things usually take some time to pull off. And when they do, they always shake the world. India will try to imitate China's achievements, but will always fail, because there are no shortcuts. That is why China likes to do things quietly and let the enemy talk. Let their noise hide your progress, and when the time comes, surprise them and watch them panic.

I'm just saying that if the goal of any countermove is to deter Trump from further escalation of tariffs or the trade war then it cannot be too subtle as Trump would not notice it and therefore it would not accomplish the goal of deterrence. He is pursuing trade war 2.0 against China because he clearly didn't feel any pain or direct consequence from the 1st trade war. He is a narcissist so any economic pain of his followers means absolutely nothing to him and does not change his behavior. Trump supporting farmers had to be bailed out and there was an increase in the number of farm bankruptcies, cases of depression, and suicides in those areas, but because it did not personally affect Trump, he doesn't care.

AFAIK China is allowed to take counter actions while WTO case is pending

Final result will emerge if/when WTO court makes a final ruling (not happening btw)

For now, lets put the WTO front and center to show adherence to the rules, and later down the line can always take counter actions to effectively punish and further deter the US

Its all a big show after all. Everyone knows that US has blocked WTO, but at least China will be showing its willingness to follow WTO rules which will significantly alleviate fears that China is a rogue actor and further magnify the difference between it and the US

When fighting a global war against the Hegemon, taking the moral high ground and showing leadership is important. Soft power is an amplifier of your hard power after all
