I don't know what's funnier, Americans still think they can steal Chinese assets or that the asset they want to steal is Little Red Book.
Xiaohongshu hitting top download is interesting because TikTok isn't actually getting censored, at least not yet, it's just banned from doing business in the US, but Xiaohongshu doesn't do business in the US to begin with.
So it's almost a test to see how many Americans will just download the TikTok app off their website and continue to use it, except now the servers are in China and US has zero control over content.

For a people that think they they're winning in Ukraine, why are they worried about the US's divided attention?
Like a Pentagon official said... for every twenty dollars the US spends to do something, China only spends a dollar to do and get the same thing. That Chinese balloon the US shot down with a missile was probably more than twenty to one. Air superiority ain't going to be easy when the US will have to shoot down anything flying in the air including decoys. Oh they can cry about Chinese subsidies... does it really matter when China is not undercutting Western military sales when they don't compete? The US like to brag Taiwan and Japan are its aircraft carriers off China. China is the Death Star with no exhaust port to exploit. And they forget they're using Ukraine as an example. Well in Ukraine the West is afraid to use its own troops to fight Russia because that opens them to direct attack. Somehow they're not afraid of the US Navy won't be sinking in the Pacific? Maybe the US thinks it can dictate to China how to conduct its part in the war while the US side is unrestricted.
