How bad is India's corruption these days? Is it as bad as late Ming where people were pretty much openly giving bribes?
It's actually worse than that. Officials and police don't just demand bribes and contributions. They also demand kneeling and grovelling. And even if they were given all that, they might not even fulfill their end of the bribe bargain.

But India is not gonna get a revolution anytime soon, because their society accepts this. Their caste system normalizes abuse of power. In any case, Modi have successfully convinced vast numbers of Indians that they are living in a Supapowar Akhand Bharat Empire. So who cares about corruption, when they are living in a Hindu "Golden Age".

"Mao Ning: I wonder if you saw online the response of Chinese net users to this US politician’s statement, how they laughed at this absurd accusation. I don’t think it could ever occur to garlic that it would pose a “major threat” to the US. From drones to cranes, from refrigerators to garlic, more and more Chinese-made products have been accused by the US of “posing national security risks.” But has the US shown any reliable evidence or rationale to back up those accusations? They are apparently just a way to justify US protectionism and abuse of state power to contain China’s development and push for decoupling and severing of supply chains.

Let me stress that overstretching the concept of national security and politicizing and weaponizing trade and tech issues will only heighten security risks in the global industrial and supply chain. This will do no one good. We urge some US politicians to gain some rationality and common knowledge, to avoid exposing themselves to public ridicule."

"China noted the comments. We are surprised by those comments and find them deeply upsetting. We will not comment on the ROK’s domestic affairs, but we absolutely oppose the ROK side associating its domestic affairs with Chinese elements, amplifying unfounded “Chinese spy” accusations and throwing mud at normal economic and trade cooperation. None of these are conducive to a healthy and steady China-ROK relationship. The Chinese government always asks Chinese nationals overseas to observe local laws and regulations. We noted that the conclusion is yet to be made on the particular case mentioned by the ROK side, and competent authorities of China and the ROK have been in communication with each other. China once again urges the ROK to handle justly cases concerning Chinese nationals, keep the Chinese side informed of the handling of the cases, and ensure the safety and lawful rights and interests of Chinese nationals concerned. China’s booming green industry is a result of global market demand, technological innovation and adequate competition. It has also made important contribution to global climate response and environmental governance"

"Shanghai-based SAIC Motor and German automotive giant Volkswagen Group announced Recently that they have signed an extension for their joint venture contract in Shanghai until 2040, further strengthening their long-term partnership.

This is the second early renewal between the two parties, reflecting the full recognition of their 40 years of cooperation achievements by both China and Germany."

"Without any factual basis, the Canadian government made false allegations against China in the name of human rights and imposed illicit sanctions on Chinese personnel. This is gross interference in China’s internal affairs and a serious violation of international law and the basic norms governing international relations. China firmly opposes and strongly condemns this."

"As Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío said, the US think tank’s accusations of so-called Chinese military bases in Cuba are just tales that do not exist and no one has seen.
Let me stress again that China’s cooperation with Cuba is done aboveboard, and does not target any third party. We certainly would not accept any deliberate vilification and smear from any third party. It is widely known that US intelligence agencies have an egregious record in Latin America and the Caribbean. The US unlawfully occupied Guantanamo Bay as its military base and imposed blockade and sanctions against Cuba for over six decades, which has been catastrophic for the Cuban people.

China once again urges the US to follow the just call of the international community, lift the blockade and sanctions on Cuba as soon as possible, remove Cuba from the list of “state sponsors of terrorism,” and stop creating barriers that hinder Cuba’s socioeconomic development."

Besides the usual you know, Chinese citizens in South Korea are spies for CPC Yoon said China was destroying South Korea's environment because China was exporting super cheap solar panel and thus encouraging South Korea to setup new solar farms. Except unlike a normal country were solar farms are setup in areas with low economic values like desert in South Korea they actually cut down forest and then install solar panels were the trees are for... reasons. Thus the cheaper China make solar panels the more forests South Korea loses.

FMA raised the issue with South Korean counterpart and they basically said "please don't listen to our president he's a crazy person and we'll get rid of him soon."
