Marco Rubio in 2024 isn't a person with agency. He will do whatever Trump tells him to do. I wouldn't read much into his appointment other than Trump surrounding himself with yes men. The only person who would get me nervous is Pompeo. That guy is Christian ISIS in mentality.

Surely it's Trump doing horse trading with establishment Rep and putting some of their people in charge, instead of all of his friends.
Rubio fits with Trump and Musk "rip everything down and rebuild it from groups up" thing, he seems like the all in type of guy. I don't even think Musk's shock therapy idea is even wrong in principle. It's just if you try to do reforms that normally take 3 years (at best) in a year you stand a good chance to shock therapying yourself into the morgue.

In Chinese it would be called using 虎狼药 to treat a high fever - it's guaranteed to work, just that sometimes the patient's temperature comes back down to 37 degrees, and rest of the time it comes all the way down to room temperature.

Looking like lil' Marco Rubio for Secretary of State and Waltz as NSA. Hard decoupling inbound. If China isn't ready for this it only has itself to blame.

Rubio is great, he's the person who wants Ford to stop licensing CATL's LFP battery tech because he thought CATL might steal Ford's technology. The best US officials aren't moderates, they're sometimes the worst, the best US officials are dumb hardliners, they do the most damage to themselves and have the worst aim when attacking.

Also, considering how badly American companies are doing in China, I don't think decoupling is up to them anymore.

There's a difference between "patriotism" and "hypernationalism" and I don't know what sort of example(s) the moron provided if he even gave one at all to even gave such a very insulting comparison.

I mean, which country or countries has China invaded with impunity and killed hundreds of thousands of military and non-military people alike; not to include the barbaric acts of rape, burning villages, and cutting heads off as a competition between 2 officers?

Why are Chinese Liberals so historically retarded or they could never accept the history presented to them from the memory of their own people never mind the government.

@FairAndUnbiased can you please provide the man's rationale as to why he said what he said?
It is very superficial. He says that Imperial Japan used patriotism for the emperor as a tool to enforce fascism and aggression. So if China uses patriotism for the country and party, it must be as a tool to enforce the same. Literally just asserting a 1:1 relationship with no proof.
