US will force Taiwan to sell TSMC to a US company if needed, especially Trump and his people and Taiwan under DPP will probably agree just keep their US masters happy. Whatever China achieves in chip industry, US will not allow Taiwan to have any leverage, they will take away so called silicon shield.

He has an agenda, a target audience, and such rhetoric gets people with existing biases riled up. Same way as how Israel mobilized its media to portray a football hooligan brawl that their side started and lost as the "worst anti-Jewish riot in Europe since Kristallnacht."

I've been saying that China should give Russia a spanking for deliberately engineering their (highly successful) brainwashing efforts against Western right-wing movements to be anti-war but only against themselves specifically, redirecting it mainly to China. It's in their national interest of course, but still scummy. Throwing all your supposed allies under the bus. If they had merely adjusted their propagandizing to be in a slightly more inclusive direction, we might've been enjoying a genuinely isolationist US administration right now. The empire dismantled without a shot fired.

It already happen, the problem is the US had a digestion problem, they had a hard time swallowing a 7nm tech node what more of 5nm and even a 3nm.

Taiwan strategy is to make TSMC an indispensable part of the global semiconductor industry, as long as the advance node is being produced in Taiwan she is safe cause the Mainland had NO planned to invade it, the logic is simple, why destroy something you owned.

While the US goal is make trouble anywhere and destroying everything cause their strategy of dependency is a subtle form of colonization.
