impose inspection requirements on cargo ships and planes going to Taiwan (divert them to mainland for inspection).
That's too expensive. I say impose a 200% duty on all arms sales to Taiwan and bill Taiwan for the inspections.

Bot or not, the effect has backfired given that the western audience only truly respects power so if this bot is touting China’s superiority, all the better for Chinese people.Just another bot created to sow the usual western lemming talking points to try and stir the usual pot against China, but it's being pushed and amplified by the even more lemmings: the Jai Hind garden variety types.
Damn, Elon really wants that lithium.Former Bolivian President Eva Morales survives an attempted assassination at Shinahota, Bolivia.
even their supposed “smart people” like Bridge Colby and Mearsheimer cannot let go of notions of western supremacy and a desire to destroy China simply because by existing, China presents a challenge to the religious notion of white western supremacy. To add onto your thoughts. The people who become politicians in America and the west by extension tend to be the most reactionary and ignorant of people. The explanation of this is fairly simple, People who talk and boast the loudest about their enemies get promoted while officials who are more nuanced tend to be labelled Chinese, Russian, Iranian bots, etc, and lose out on any higher-level position. This starts a positive feedback loop where these officials then start promoting even more reactionary individuals and the process repeats. Said officials also tend to be very susceptible to corruption which further degraded performance and boosts them even further in their career.
The whole system is systematically flawed. No number of "smart" individuals will fix this as they will be immediately sidelined due to the reasons stated above.
at least let the filtration point be Hong Kong airport since its large and has good amenities. It's coming, hence CCG participation in the recent exercise, pretty inevitable at this point regardless what Taiwan does.
The more interesting question isn't cargo, it's people, if they also force all Taiwan air travel to go through mainland filtration...
If there's one political entity in the world that resembles the Qing Dynasty its the EU. Still collectively the 3rd biggest economy and the world still has a high demand for European luxury products. That's on top of the fact that European cities are still the most desired tourist destinations in the world. But outside of a few companies, no relevance whatsoever in the sciences and the tech, militarily weak, and industrially hollowed out.Quite similar but not the same. At least the US is still relative strong, far more strong than the late-Qing. The late-Qing transformed China to a completely barbarian state.
Why does the car have an American flag on the rear view mirror? Why is the former president using a Samsung phone when we all know that any products that come from any U.S. affiliated countries would surely have back door installed on them, especially when used by people that have made moves against U.S. vital interests.Former Bolivian President Eva Morales survives an attempted assassination at Shinahota, Bolivia.
Bro is cooking.Foreign weapons sales to Taiwan is the perfect justification for the PRC to impose inspection requirements on cargo ships and planes going to Taiwan (divert them to mainland for inspection). Recall that Taiwan imposed 3 decades of naval blockade on ALL shipping to the mainland, which only ended in 1979 when the US switched diplomatic recognition to the PRC.
Love reading the comments to this article. It demonstrates the narrow-mindedness of American logic. I don't know if what the daughter says is true but that's not the point. She's saying the Los Angeles Times is not endorsing a Presidential candidate simply because he's against genocide. Many of the comments which have to be pro-Harris don't understand how does being pro-Trump help against genocide? It doesn't. If what the daughter says is true, the Times is not endorsing anyone at all because they're both pro-Israel which means they're both pro-genocide. Now you understand how Americans think they're the good guys and could do no wrong even though they engaged and is implicit to genocide past and present. Somebody has to be the bad guy and they think it's not them because how can there be two bad guys. Guess what? There can be and especially two bad guys. Bad guys seek power for themselves so its entirely possible to have two bad guys or even more. Americans don't want to think that because that means that's an admission they can be the bad guy too. That's why they think in black and white. There can be only one good and one evil. So since they think they're the good, it means everyone they don't like has to be evil. They claim they believe in freedom yet they deny something as simple as choice. You have to do everything they say because they're the good guys and if you don't, it's because you must be the bad guy. It's the lazy way to be in control. Their brains are incapable of comprehending there can be more than two sides.

Ancient Greeks had slaves, Romans had slaves and today's America has millions of slaves.
They said the same thing about the "Axis of Resistance" how all of them each have different agendas yet somehow can get together against the US and the West that alarms them into panic. It says something more that you have two democracies daring to join BRICS against US/Western economic hegemony. And remember the greater hypocrisy that goes against their own narrative that democracies believe in human rights is the US had slaves and now is supporting genocide in Gaza. Do good guys strike hospitals so that injured people on their beds are burning to death? Who's the evil again when they claim they're the good guys...? Believing in human rights is not so important of a criteria for democracies after all.
At least late Qing huffed opium at gun point. Late America did it to themselves with fentynl.Quite similar but not the same. At least the US is still relative strong, far more strong than the late-Qing. The late-Qing transformed China to a completely barbarian state.
