Obviously the large population in China would translate to huge sales even if true obesity is only affecting a small percentage of the population. However, the cosmetic use won't generate the same demand as the US (relatively speaking). On top of that, the unregulated prices in the US make it a far more attractive market.

China banned Burqa not Hijab. Hijab has many different forms and has been accepted into regional traditions for a long time in central Asia and China. What was particularly targetted by China and central Asian states is Burqa which is a tradition from Saudi Arabia that arrived in China and central Asia since the 1990s. It is foreign from a contemporary point of view, and backward conservative compared to established local tradition.
Also notes, some form of headdress from non-islamic tradition is not distinguishable from Hijab. This makes Hijab not a thing at all but just an ordinary scarf for women. The western media repeatedly mixing up Hijab with Burqa is either due to ignorance or deliberately attempt to plant hatred. I believe the later when western media reports banning in non-western countries.
Example, a Han Chinese female farmer. Even my mother and aunts use to wear them and we are not muslim.

To be precise, hijab is not an object - it is an action. Hijab means to veil. The action applies to both men and women; to veil what is considered nudity per Islamic doctrine. The definition varies per culture, but the most basic in all is covering the hair in women. Burqa, niqab, abaya, chador, etc are the objects used by women for hijab. The headdress worn by Christian nuns is a hijab. The word is not restricted to attire, i.e. a curtain on your window is also a hijab, as is a covid mask, as well as going into isolation (veiling from public).
These companies are overconfidence and arrogant. Until they reflect on themselves, they will always be out manoeuvred by the Indian. They obviously underestimated the Indian but not the Westerners.
