Bolivia: The Coup That Wasn't.

The oversimplified storyline be like:

*Army General threatens Evo Morales and senate members
*Gets fired by the President
*Becomes angry, tries to stage coup with meager amount of troop support the day after
*Rams into the presidential palace
*Gets b1tch-slapped by the President (figuratively) and walks away
*Claims that the President asked him to stage a self-coup to raise support during interview with journalists afterwards
*Gets arrested mid-interview
*Air Force and Navy chiefs get replaced despite likely not having any connections to the coup attempt

When you thought that nothing would ever beat the Wagner coup attempt in June 2023 and the recent DR Congo coup attempt just last month for the worst attempted coup ever competition of recent times - This shows up.

They going to limit the supplies to China cause the demand will be through the roof. Never remember seeing obesity in China that much until McDonald’s came to town.

Btw not too long ago this used to be science fiction. Take a pill and drop 20-30lbs with no changes in lifestyle or diet.

Damn, Min Aung Hlaing remains undisputed master of coup in recent years. You may not like it but it's what peak coup looks like.

The reason why NASA and the CNSA do not collaborate has nothing to do with "national security" or "IP" like that means something for a public research institution. Is because a know-nothing idiot named Frank Wolf tied NASA budget with cutting their China collaboration since 2011. Even under the opposition of Obama and NASA themselves.

"The Wolf Amendment is a law passed by the United States Congress in 2011, named after then–United States Representative Frank Wolf, that prohibits the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) from using government funds to engage in direct, bilateral cooperation with the Chinese government and China-affiliated organizations from its activities without explicit authorization from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Congress. It has been inserted annually into appropriations bills since then."

There used to be a belief that once China displays more of their advances and express willingness to do big projects like James Webb they will be collaboration. That's not true at all. Further advances in Chinese space technology will further this tension, not increase the likelihood of cooperation.

Wolf has been supported by every Adminstration since 2011 (Bill Nelson just recently voted to keep the Wolf Amendments). You can cite human rights or IP concerns but the truth is while there are some scientists in NASA and other US colleges that want partnerships with China in certain areas such as astronomy, from a couple of my old jobs I can confirm the overwhelming majority of people there and subcontractors that support them do not want any collaboration and they absolute see it as a space race.

No Chinese astronauts has ever visited the ISS and I have no doubt that this will extend towards projects on the lunar surface in the 2030s.

What "they"??

If you mean by drug producers, regulators will rape whichever med companies try to price gouge, but glp1 analogues has been a thing since forever, and demand simply hasn't been be the high it was it in US because most Chinese aren't that fat.

There won't be a glp1 boom in China, if there could be, it would have been years ago. Ppl will still take it, but there aren't that many mega obese.
