A lot of Asian restaurants in Toronto, I noticed are all the same. Loud music Western popular music, the staff have a certain look to them, act a certain way. These are white restaurants, that happen to serve Thai, Korean, Japanese food. Even a lot of the Vietnamese restaurants are like that.
That I never noticed until recently, because I tend to eat in Chinese restaurants.
Then I realized, just a couple of years ago, regarding these restaurants, that the West, or more precisely, the Americans have won. They got all these Asians, who not Chinese, to mimic their cultural mores.
That goes for all Asians, except for, you guess it, the Chinese.
The Chinese, are like, forever fresh off the boat. And it feels great!
We see this in this forum occasionally.
the word Master will mean complete control over all aspect of Carrier operations. I do think it takes huge amount of time and it need to be proven by extending deployment outside the support base.
you see this recent tweet where Russian military vehicles unloaded at Libyan Naval port for Africa operation. This only happened because Russia has demonstrated to drop bombs and missiles on behalf of Arabs from a Carrier according to there standards. They need to see the competence before there Soft power is behind you. This Eagle is Emirati look like symbol of Eastern Libya.

Cultural mores will change with who the dominant power is... 30-40 years from now restaurants in North America / EU will probably exhibit more subtle Chinese influences.
