I don't believe so. Because what the West does to the rest of the world, they do the same to their domestic population albeit in a lighter manner. What they are really afraid of is not being in control, and being subordinate to another power who does not share the same values as them, primarily because their dominance allows them an almost global free reign on wealth generation and hoarding via exploitation and corruption. So, any rival system that isn't their own is a source of anxiety and fear. The Chinese system has a potential to destroy the Western'. The real tragedy for humankind here would be if the Chinese are infiltrated and become Westernized (i.e. like Japan and South Korea).

There is also a subconscious/hidden ethnocentric element at play which can be observed in the general population. Westerners (and even slightly Westernized folk) think that Western philosophy is the only correct philosophy. Their way of life, their way of thought formation, their perception is the only one that exists; and that this ["our way"] is universal, embedded biologically in every culture. So, if power corrupts in America, it will also corrupt everywhere on the globe; if two kings cannot rule a Kingdom at once in Europe, then two kings cannot rule a kingdom anywhere on earth (Ghori's have entered the chat); if Europeans at their peak were colonials, every culture at their peak will be colonial, etc. You could be infected by this influence even if you are anti-West.
