The data shows about 20% say harassment has happened "repeatedly."

2023 showcases negative treatment of Asian Canadians is increasing, specifically for Chinese Canadians.

When it comes to action against hate, the majority of Asian Canadians do not report the experience to the police.

About 39% do not tell anyone about a negative experience.

38% saying the situation "stays" with them. This is higher for younger Asian Canadians, with 40% saying an experience is upsetting and stays with them.

Anti-China syndrome in US is extremely absurd, noxious.​


The world is undergoing unprecedented changes unseen in a century. The crisis in Ukraine continues. A trend toward reconciliation emerges in the Middle East. Calls for Europe's strategic autonomy are rising. In the midst of these changes, some strange phenomena are also surfacing, among which, the frequent occurrence of anti-China syndrome in the US-led Western world - opposing whatever China does - is the most absurd.

Hmmm, this hatred and racism is eventually provoke a world wide response so really, the west better watch out because once USA loses its grip on the world, many nations are eventually going to demand payback. Some nations such as Russia might be interested given all the years of harm the west has done to Russia, I highly doubt they will simply stop once Ukraine is dealt with, they are bound to want far more of a payback and no end to the amount of hardliners wanting that to happen. That alone should scare the neo cons to death given that they have been waging war for so long that they have gained a false sense of security, which nowadays can take an instant to crumble under the right circumstances and then they will have absolutely no defense for what will happen after that

I'm curious to know where in Canada was this poll taken. However, this sample size of 528 (assuming the letter 'n' denotes sample size) is rather low and usually such polls are taken in one spot which hardly reflects the true picture. This is not to say anti-Asian racism does not exists as I personally have seen it happen in the past couple of decades.

US soldier crosses border into North Korea​


A US service member has voluntarily crossed the demilitarized zone (DMZ) into North Korea – reportedly while facing disciplinary proceedings back home – creating another crisis on the peninsula for Washington amid rising nuclear tensions with Pyongyang.

The unidentified soldier was on an orientation tour of the Joint Security Area at the Panmunjom truce village when he bolted across the demarcation line into the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). “We believe he is currently in DPRK and are working with our KPA (Korean People’s Army) counterparts to resolve this incident,” said the United Nations Command, which oversees the demilitarized border area.

US military officials told media outlets that the soldier “willfully and without authorization” crossed into North Korea. CBS News reported that the service member was being escorted back to the US for disciplinary reasons and had gone through airport security when he somehow absconded and joined the border tour group.


A South Korean media report identified the soldier as Travis King, a US Army private second class. A witness in the tour group told CBS that while visiting the Joint Security Area, “this man gives out a loud ‘ha, ha, ha’ and just runs in between some buildings” into North Korea. “I thought it was a bad joke at first, but when he didn’t come back, I realized it wasn’t a joke, and then everyone reacted and things got crazy.”

The incident marks the first such border crossing by an American soldier in nearly five years. It comes at a time when Pyongyang and Washington are feuding over alleged provocations on both sides, including missile tests by North Korea and large-scale joint exercises by the US and South Korean militaries.

No word on what the private did to warrant disciplinary action but this will get him into deeper trouble. He might as well stay in North Korea. I'm surprised that there were other similar incidents like this.

The guy has no idea what he was talking about. The blow to Vietnam dealt by China in 1979 was especially hash, because its younger, elite troops were deployed to Cambodia. As a result, older Vietnamese soldiers, who had married, many with kids, suffered disproportionately higher casualties during its conflict with China in 1979. It's Vietnam that needs to erase its shadow of 1979.
