I dont think its demonstration of a racial superiority when alot of Africans earn medals for Europe and US. They were basically showing success of cultural integration. because all those medal winners need Coaches and training facilities. Even Algeria got Women Gymnast Gold thanks to French born mix Algerian. Japan and Korea also did well. Those Ex Soviet states except Russia won 17 Golds.
An excellent example of media taking advantage of the fact that most people do not actually read these articles: they just look at the cover image and title and jump to conclusions.
The Daily Mail is certainly trying to encourage racial prejudices with this tactic. It's scummy, and if you look closely, you see it all of the time. Deliberate choices in cover image that insinuate certain things to audiences that are too lazy to read more in-detail.
It is also annoying how the British people claim "Nobody reads Daily Mail". Daily Mail has some of the highest circulation figures and it ranks the first occasionally. The said British are probably urbanites from large cities who are unfamiliar with average people.
