Do you see the US media blaming themselves for why Trump thinks there was election fraud against him...? It all started because for some reason all the media thought it was great to report during the last Presidential election real time voting as they came in the form that as they counted votes in each state they correspond it to their graphics in coloring states as red or blue on who was winning at the time. They never did this before because they use to color a state when it was known which party ultimately won that state in the end. Trump just saw a state being colored red and he thought that meant he won it but according to the new real time way of doing it they could changed it to blue. This is the basis of why Trump thinks there was cheating.

While the real time method of state counting might explain it for other people jumping to that conclusion, Trump has always taken a "If I didn't win, it must be because the other side cheated." He made statements along those lines before the general election. He did that with primaries as well. One has to understand that Trump is a malignant narcissist, and this kind of excuse making is in my opinion more about for his own psychological defence. A narcissist cannot stand having their ego injured by being upstaged, humiliated, or losing in the ways that matter to them. For Trump, that means losing in any way, which is why for example he constantly claims to know more than anyone in pretty much any field of human knowledge. He psychologically cannot stand the thought of losing in such a public contest and so his own personal psychological defence mechanism allows him to write off the other side as cheating so he didn't "really" lose in his own personal mental accounting. I have no doubt he would have done the same if Hilary Clinton had won in 2016, though in that case he might have just stomped off rather than try to run again.

I see it as a problem that US wins so many total medals while China wins much less. Anyone who wins a bronze can win a Gold, the difference are usually small, so all of the US Bronze or Silver actually shows the depth of US power in all the Olympics sports. So, China needs to be better in all sports to eventually beat US in total Medal count. Relying on winning more Gold just shows u got lucky this time, it doesn't show overall depth of sporting roster
