If US really intends to invade, it's not unlikely that China will rather choose to scuttle it's own industries that it can't bring back to safety.

But in the past years, it's more clear that Xi's foreign policy will be using lower intensity proxy wars abroad rather than allow the scenario of US full scale invasion in Taiwan to happen. Even though many pundits in China would probably want China to drop ambiguity and order US to stand down on the homefront.

China has already put Russia to work and Russians are almost done with it. Iran hasn't been put to work yet, and Trump is notoriously hateful against Arabs. So there is a natural next step. Plus with Russia soon freed up again, it's possible to start probing the third world even harder, like in Venezuela border, what little remains of French Africa and so on.

I think as long as Xi is driving his politics, there will be no counteroffensive on Taiwan. At most, once US is too over extended, they will be asked to drop all claims. But Xi's ideal politics can be disrupted by either domestic rivals or a too aggressive American state.
That is right. Trump cannot say no to the Jews. You already see Jewish media dropping democrats for Trump. If Iran make a move, Trump will be forced to abandon any China plans.

American political system is a failure. There is no better argument to prove it than abuse its weakness to its logical conclusion.

Safe to say that Trump is not a fan of EVs

Back then, Elon needed subsidies to get 15k from the poor to give to the rich so they can enjoy their obnoxious Model S Ludicrous. Nowadays, he is likely funding Trump because he knows he can't survive foreign competition and needs Trump to sanction every competitor so he owns the US and EU puppet markets.

I don't know why Trump selected as VP as man that is less charismatic than watching paint dry.
I mean you know a person is uncharismatic when you would rather prefer to be torture by being forced to hear a Kamala Harris speech in repeat for a day than hearing this Trump's VP pick for an hour.

It's been said that Trump doesn't want anyone to upstage him. If true then his pick for VP makes sense.

Rocketships to nowhere; just like his Hyperloop project. :)

How is decoupling possible when even the best Trump campaign ad is made in China?

US Election Interference by the Chinese confirmed. Tiktok even removed that popular video. I also saw a deleted cheeky tweet by a Xinhua journalist which shared a remake of that original video on X :p
