Unfortunately, the breach has been growing in size (latest update puts the width of breach at more than 100 meters). According to reports, ~5000 residents living nearby have been evacuated.

Just now, the first PAP units have also arrived in the disaster area.

The flooded areas are part of the lake at verious points of past.

The size of the lake reduced from more than 6000 sqkm in Qing dynasty to 2820 sqkm of 1998. PRC recovered it back to pre-PRC size of 3900 sqkm. Don't know if that is enough though.

Seems that it will take China decades or hundreds years to "undo" or "remedy" what we have done in the previous hundreds years.

Some news about Miles Guo / Kwok.... Apparently the case against him is that he scam 1 billion USD from many Hanjians and right wingers into investing into some media/streaming/crypto business. Much of the money is burnt away on Miles fake billionare lifestyle and online trolls. According to prosecutor:

“Miles Guo ran a simple con on a grand scale,” Fergenson said. “He lived a billionaire’s lifestyle using money he stole from people he tricked and cheated.”

Prosecutors argue Guo’s whole shtick is bogus – that he is neither a real dissident or really rich. Fergenson suggested on Friday that Guo’s movement and complaints against the CCP are, instead, a story he created to win the trust of followers before fleecing them.
