The only way to really shut these guys up is proving them wrong. And then when they quiet, keep rubbing it in. After all they were so talkative before so they shouldn't stop.

This is not arrogant; this is fearful to the extreme. They don't want Chinese STEM students because Chinese STEM students are too good and going home to kick America's ass. They prefer Indians in the STEM role because they're not smart enough to build up their own country as a challenge to the US. This is like white people dreaming that black guys shouldn't be allowed to play basketball but should be restricted to hopscotch and jump rope; they prefer to play Mexican basketball players or something. It's an unhinged level of insecurity and fear of Chinese intellect; it's the opposite of arrogant.
That said, I don't think he's wrong in his wish. I would also deny STEM tutelage to students from an adversary nation. I would just say it in a professional way that majors will be restricted due to exposure sensitive technology. I wouldn't sound like a wishful idiot like this guy saying he wanted to "reeducate" Chinese students by only allowing them to pick humanities and social sciences. I wouldn't even mention these majors because they're the majors that people pick when they have kids that are basically only smart enough to flip burgers but would like to say they have a college degree anyway.

They really are dumb. They actually think somehow the same problems are not going to happen with Indians. Maybe they're not as competent but they're still going to do self serving stuff. Given how so much stuff is being outsourced from the west, Im surprised these dumb leaders are not being lynched as traitors by their own people.

No, they are correct in that calculation. Indians don't wish to return home for anything; they want to stay in the US. And the reason is because India is at such a shitty place in its development that there's no point in going back. The same problems would only happen with Indians if in the future, India somehow broke free from its incompetence and developed to became a rival to the US. That would probably spur Indians to see some hope and return home and thus, the same problem would happen with Indians. But as things currently stand, it is correct for the US to want to stop Chinese STEM and lean towards Indian. Problem is that they sounded really stupid, insecure and petty in the way they put it and also, quality is not the same so in an America where homegrown STEM talent is so rare, a heavy reduction in Chinese contribution could pull the rug from under the US while China stands firm by training our own students on the foundation that we have already built.
Dunno what they're yapping about when China is also more than self sufficient in food and energy. Finance? Oh no we're gonna lose access to the world's 2nd largest market. Well yeah, that's the whole point, we take the industry used formerly to sell products to US and turn it into weapons manufacturing to kill Americans, until enough damage as been inflicted that America agrees to a permanent open door to Chinese industry and finance.

Did that son of a nice lady not notice several key things, Russia can easily help with self sufficiency due to the west pushing Russia to China for one and China is more then happy to work with them, China has already stockpiled several years worth of grain and food in case of a long war which most people knows quite clear is something that Europe and the U.S. hasn’t done by a long shot and also it’s true that the USA is self sufficient on paper but with the energy grid in a state of collapse and food insecurity climbing up due to all these natural disasters hitting their processing plants along with animal flu and many fast food restaurants closing down due to low earnings and busted up supply chains, I think this moron needs to realize that in a fight between China and the USA, the USA will yield much faster then China would ever do because with the manufacturing/infrastructure department basically dead in the USA, it will take decades to fix that shit up, which the USA simply doesn’t have, I mean that Baltimore bridge still hasn’t been fixed yet (you all know that China would’ve already done that bridge by now)
Their idiot schemes will fail in the end sooner or later because none of this idiot talk is actually helping Europe get out of its hole right now.
