The West drew first blood and now they're worried over losing the Chinese market from Chinese domestic firms...? Of course their rights over China they want the Chinese to honor despite how China never agreed to it.
The white man strikes you as he shrieks in pain

Honestly it was best that they revealed their hand and played the cards early etc

The European Union’s executive arm is reviewing how widely its businesses use mature or lower-end chips from China, but its latest analysis found the concern that Chinese chips will systematically flood the global market is “less likely” to become reality.

Demand is so high in China that any additional capacity will be absorbed by the domestic market until at least 2030, according to the report, partly citing data from Dutch equipment maker ASML Holding NV.

Must be soul crushing for those Anti-Chinese hawks. Now they are gonna have to figure out how to stop Chinese companies from buying Chinese chips and preventing them from selling to Chinese consumers. To have any hopes in stopping China semiconductor industry from expanding and growing.

Maybe they could start by demanding to their masters in the White House to stop putting so many unnecessary sanctions to Chinese companies. Just maybe.

Yet another building project of the USA that has failed to deliver. Now we know why people prefer China to be the ones to do building projects, not only is it structurally sound but it has no hidden agendas involved. Seriously Biden has been a wrecking ball for the US brand, to the point where it will simply never recover
They should have contracted a Chinese dredging company for that job. They would have built a sand bridge to beach.

adopting the Anglo mainstream media perspective:
According to Anglo tradition, the land and the king are one, as told in the cultural epic “Excalibur” (1982) and the mental deterioration of Biden is reflected in the decline of the land and the leper king of Jerusalem, the fisher king, with the spread of plague which the Anglo mouthpieces are trying to cover up.

China should tell him to go straight home and speak to the source of the problem - Cruella Von Der Lying.

There would be no shit if she didn’t start slinging it on behalf of her true masters the Americans.
What’s even more ridiculous is the western expectation not to suffer the consequences of their actions. These western elites, merchant class have the lobbying power to overthrow politicians if they disturb business interests, it’s clear the west is a oligarchy so shouldn’t China target the means by which the western elites derive their power?

I think it’s mostly social reasons that it’s catching flak in the media First off it also predominantly known as the Hollywood drug. Cuz rich ass celebrities are now using this fairly easy way to lose weight and maintain their attractiveness. rather than the usual diet and exercise. This causes a huge artificial demand for people who actually are not diabetic and do not really need it. Which lead to the obvious result in many cases of doctors having a long wait list of patients waiting to get this drug but supply isn’t enough to meet demand and black market with crazy prices begin to form. And also cuz it’s highly priced, many poor people who are diabetic are not able to afford it.
On the medical side, because it is a drug that suppresses appetite through artificial means, there is going to be side effects. It appears they not only make you lose fat tissue but also muscle mass.
Prof Lustig talks abit about this and the mechanism of the GLP1 receptor antagonist.
Another factor to consider is, for people who took it and lost weight. Will they continue to take it for the rest of their life? Will they gain the weight back if they discontinued it? Are there long term effects which we do not know yet?
First, I don't really understand his argument. He argues against Ozempic because it doesn't directly treat the underlying metabolic disorder, but the metabolic disorder comes from obesity which comes from overeating, and Ozempic does treat that. It's treating the metabolic disorder from a fundamental level which previous weight loss medications or surgeries did not do, and that's why it's so popular.

Second, he argues against Ozempic because it makes you lose muscles too. Yes, we know. It happens whenever your body is in a caloric deficit, it'll get energy from whatever tissue be it fat or muscles. Guess how a diet works? It also works be creating a caloric deficit. That's why even natural body-builders who go through a bulk and cut cycle have trouble maintaining their strength during the cut cycle. Ozempic won't let you cut fat preferentially, you still need to exercise to do that.

Third, he argues against Ozempic because of the cost. That's a more reflection of the broken healthcare system of the US than anything else. We'll see what the actual production cost of GLP-1 agonists are when China and India flood the world sans America with generics.

Fourth, he argues against it because of the side effects, known and unknown. You know what kills more people than anything else in the US right now? Obesity. There's even some evidence that obesity may be the #1 cause of cancer in the US. Everything in medicine has risks, it's all about balancing risks vs rewards, and right now it's pretty clear that the rewards of GLP-1 agonists far outweigh their risks.
