Saudi have intervened in Bahrain. they have little interest beyond that. They can easily occupy the rest. but they care about Soft Power. no need to remove current Royal families who had developed there own Soft Power. now calling the world wealthiest people with most soft power poor governance.
Given how Saudis occupied the poorest Arab country (Yemen) which is also amongst the poorest in the world, I highly doubt they could really occupy anything. The question was: how did such great governance lead to the fracture of the peninsula into 6 different countries that have the same language, ethnicity, religion, and culture?

Yuan to replace dollar as Russia’s main foreign currency – Central Bank

The yuan/ruble exchange rate will now set the trajectory for other currency pairs on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX), including for the euro and dollar, the Bank of Russia (CBR) announced on Thursday.

The statement comes as the latest round of US sanctions prompted the MOEX on Wednesday to suspend trading in dollars and euros. The UK followed Washington’s lead on Thursday, introducing restrictions against the Russian financial system. Transactions in US dollars and euro will continue on the over-the-counter (OTC) market.

“The yuan/ruble exchange rate … will become a reference point for market participants. The share of the yuan in Moscow Exchange trading in May was 54%,” the Bank of Russia said. “Thus, the yuan has already become the main currency in exchange trading,” it added.

According to the regulator, the share of the dollar and euro in the Russian market has consistently declined over the past two years as a result of the redirection of trade flows to the East and a change in the currency of settlements to rubles, yuan and other currencies of friendly countries.

Russia has actively begun to replace the dollar and euro in foreign trade amid Western sanctions imposed over the Ukraine conflict. It has since dramatically reduced the number of bank accounts and transactions between companies and financial institutions involving Western currencies. Prior to the conflict, the share of the US dollar and euro in Russia’s settlements was around 90%.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said last week addressing a plenary session at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum that the share of payments for Russian exports in the so-called ‘toxic’ currencies of unfriendly states has decreased by half.

The share of the ruble in Russia’s foreign-trade operations continues to grow while payments in the currencies of ‘unfriendly’ states – those who imposed sanctions against Russia – is declining, Putin stated.

MOEX said on Thursday that the suspension of trading in dollar and euro affects foreign and precious metals trade as well as stock and money trading on Russia’s largest public trading markets. Except for dollars and euros, all other financial instruments remain operational. The derivatives market has also been unaffected by the changes, with trade going on as usual, it said.

China's string of successes on the moon is not for show. It shows how serious the Chinese take their space programs. That is why Russia considers China a reliable partner for a joint Lunar project.

President Vladimir Putin has signed a law ratifying an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and China on cooperation in the construction of an International Lunar Research Station (ILRS).
The ratification law last month passed the lower house of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, and last week was approved by the upper house, the Federation Council.
Its not just Putin's decision. Its a whole Russian government decision.

The agreement to cooperate on the Moon station “meets Russia’s interests because it will contribute to strengthening Russia’s strategic partnership with China” and will provide for “the consolidation of Russia’s leading role in the exploration of outer space, including in the exploration and use of the Moon,” an explanatory note to the law reads.

Working jointly with Beijing will also increase the efficiency of the research carried out at the ILRS, and will mitigate the potential technical and financial risks associated with exploration and use of the Moon, as well as facilitating the training of scientists and other personnel for future space projects, it added.
Yes, China is a much better partner than India. The Yutu-2 moon rover is still operational since landing in 2019. While the India's Pragyan rover which landed last year had frozen to death already. If you wanna build human habitats on the moon, you can't take any chances. Its science and competence that will keep your men alive on the moon, not Jugaad.

The ILRS is being developed by Russia’s space agency Roscosmos and China’s National Space Administration (CNSA). But, according to Moscow and Beijing, the project, which aims to “promote humanity’s exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes,” remains open to all interested countries and international partners. It has already been joined by nine other nations, including South Africa, Egypt and Pakistan.
India is not among them? Why? LoL!

It’s planned that the space facility will consist of a station on a lunar orbit and a moon base on the surface. It’ll be supported by several smart mobile rovers and a hopping robot, CNSA and Roscosmos said earlier.

According to a roadmap provided by the Russian space agency, the ILRS is expected to become operational by 2035. With the project divided in several stages, Russia and China plan to select a location for the moon base by 2025, with construction efforts to follow between 2026 and 2035.
Good. Hopefully they can complete of their moon base before the West does the same. With China involved, I'm fairly confident that they can stick to the timetable. India OTOH is yet to launch its own manned space flight, so its better not to wait for them.

It will be hard. Invading California is the US mainland, that is the only way to get to the "Moon" in Burbank.
