The next you'll hear is how the US wants a strategic hardened shelter reduction treaty... This is really a concern? Maybe the US can't afford the rising cost of concrete. Maybe the news that Ukraine damaged a Russian Su-57 on an airfield has got the US paranoid. First their celebrating and then they realize it can be done right back at them. It's like the US getting all excited that they were decoupling from China by cutting off what China needs and then they realize China can do it right back at them and now they act like they were the first victims of this injustice.

Such great Arab governance that the great Arabian Peninsula was divided into 6 independent countries on lines that were neither ethnic, nor linguistic, nor religious, nor cultural. In fact, it's hard to think on what lines these divisions occurred apart from, of course, poor governance.

How many times have the Chinese tourists, immigrants both legal and illegal, international students got violently attacked, spat on, hurled racist abuse by people from many countries around the world with hardly anyone in the west including the typical Hanjians giving 2 ssssh about it. I mean, I myself has been very impressed by the level of magnanimity the Chinese people have exhibited and showcased these past couple of years despite the constant unceasing attacks from European countries, America, Canada, Turks, Indians, Filipinos etc...that those folks are not being victimized in higher and greater frequency that we would have automatically SEEN AND HAVE WITNESSED in our respective western countries where we currently work, live, and s..t.

Take this most recent example of the Chinese young sports journalists who conducted an interview with supposed Real Madrid football fans. The unsuspecting Chinese man and the camera person who happened to be a Chinese female were on the receiving end of a pretty vile and racist slurs turned into a song. When the Chinese journo asked the Spanish monkey what the song was about, he lied and responded that the song was about celebration.

I know Reddit is not representative of the entire West but it's the window of how most westerners think and view China and Chinese people in general. The comments say that the Spanish idiot's rant is just your typical Football hooliganism thereby excusing or making an excuse for an inexcusable behavior. If these actions were committed by a Chinese person in China the comments would have essentially indict the whole civilization as uncouth and communist bastards etc...

I understand, we are living in a world where Sinophobia is rampant in the English language media. There is outrage for Americans getting stabbed in China. But there was no sympathy for Chinese getting assaulted, arrested for no reason, splashed with acid, or even killed in the West. Numerous American women were sexually assaulted in India, but there was no outrage by the Western media. They didn't even cared to report them. Because India is their darling.

About that Real Madrid fan racism. The Chinese media company in question are gonna report those racist Real Madrid fans. But you know what UEFA is gonna do? Nothing. Those A-holes talk about eradicating racism, but they themselves practice selective racism. Russians are banned from European football, but those Nazi-loving Ukrainians gets all their sympathy and love. Practically all official anti-racism campaigns in the West is just a PR scam job. I won't trust the Olympics either.

I have stopped believing in all the virtue signalling of the West already. It's all pretentious. Their society today is built on a foundation of imperialism. Racism is in their DNA. I shall enjoy watching their decline. Watching their societies tear themselves apart with contradictions and stupidity. As for those hanjians, they'll get what is coming for them when their white masters eventually abandons them.

Don't take things too personally. Everything is political, no matter what they say and no matter what their original intentions were.
Just cover your own bases and enjoy the show. The last 10 years has already seen crazy changes, the next even more.
One thing is certain though - within our lifetimes we will likely see the world revert to its original state - China being the epicentre of the global economy with the barbarian states begging tribute.

When you do it near Russia or China, it's "Freedom of Navigation" or "deterrence". When Russia does it to you, "OMG it's Putin's threat!." "OMG they came so close to Southern Florida!".

Yeah how does it feel when an adversary's warships sailed too close for comfort? Since you've talked about forward-deploying nukes against Russia and China. You do that, then their nukes are also gonna come to your back yard.

China produces more than it can consume because of their manufacturing efficiency and scale, not because demographics. Chinas population is similar to the entire west combined.

China wants globalization because they can likely outproduce any other country and this gain market share and profit.

Are you saying that the west is fine without globalization because they don't need to globalize and sell to other countries? Are you saying that the west can just trade within their own countries and that's enough to expand?

If that's the case then why are all those western companies still trying to expand into China or ASEAN or india etc?

Market size = population x disposable wealth per capita. The two factors are multiplicative so if you're short on either, you're screwed.

India isn't a powerful market because its wealth per capita is low. Singapore isn't a powerful market because its population is low. These are two extremes but they illustrate the same phenomenon.

The US is a powerful market because it has plenty of both. The EU is similar, and hence its importance in global trade.

What I'm saying is very basic. In a world where there's less trade, the domestic market takes on more importance for national power.

You want BOTH more people and more productivity per person. You can't lack either if you want to be a super power.
