Let me substitute the word compelling for "persuasive". Here in Australia, at least, and apparently throughout the Anglosphere, Palestinian voices are dismissed outright. When Anglo folk speak on this subject they are at least only accused of antisemitism. Their careers may well be jeapordised by well-resourced lobbying campaigns, but they are not threatened with deportation or investigated by the state for alleged terrorist sympathies, which is what happens to Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims who speak too loudly on this subject. But only Jewish voices can escape the basic formula whereby criticism of Israel is held to be inherently anti-Semitic and should therefore be excluded from respectable discourse, which means that these voices play a crucial role in airing truths that many would prefer to see buried.
So are we justifying the control of the media apparatus and narrative by one ethnic group because they happen to provide a "both side" nuanced account?

Moment of truth for Saudis as the petrodollar treaty comes to expiry; not that China needs the Saudis; Russia offer as much petroleum and crude oil for Chinese needs and Chinese EVs will dramatically reduce dependance on hydrocarbons.
Saudis are not important due to Oil but enormous Soft Power. or put it differently they know about this world better than any one else. how do they know? Russia should be glad that Arabs are even visiting for BRICS because the other two much larger forums recently were all about Arabs. Arabs have to keep balance as Saudi want to create the New Europe and i would think all those Blonde Muslims in Russia are interested in that aspect rather than global South.

Bahrain sent message through Russia to normalise ties with Iran: Official

Bahrain has sent a request via Russia to re-establish diplomatic relations with Iran, Iranian news outlets have reported, citing presidential adviser Mohammad Jamshidi.

The reports on Friday come after several public statements by Bahraini officials expressing openness to restoring ties with Iran after years of tensions between the two countries.

“Bahrain has sent a message to Iran through Russia to normalise relations with Iran,” Jamshidi was quoted as saying by Iran’s Press TV.

Manama had cut off diplomatic relations with Tehran in 2016 following a spike in tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Bahrain had also accused Iran of involvement in antigovernment protests that swept the country in 2011.

Saudi Arabia normalised its own relations with Iran as part of a Chinese-brokered agreement last year.

Last month, during a visit to Moscow, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa said the Gulf island looks forward to improved relations with Iran.

Bahrain’s state news agency BNA cited him as saying that there was no reason to delay the resumption of relations between the two countries.

" China HAS NEVER fought a land, sea or air campaign against a military power like the US. (Just because you have an aircraft carrier doesn't mean you have the knowledge and experience to use it in a direct conflict). In 1979, they crossed the border into Vietnam and got ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED by troops that were essentially border guards - not frontline soldiers) "

The PLA must attack again and totally destroy Vietnam as proof of victory to prove this wrong.
What about the korean war ? Didn't they curbstomp the US past the 38th parallel when it was much more relatively powerful than today ?
