Agree, thats why I say that for them "white" means basically protestant germanic.

Neither orthodox slavs neither catholic mediterraneans are consider white by the US/UK. The slavs are seeing as asiatic and the spanish portuguese as half africans.

People always have some sob story excuse. No one wants to admit I left coz I have a criminal charge or I was unable to stand the competitive environment so I moved to some place easier.

You have unlimited amount of examples of the lowest morality on Earth by the europeans.
This does not avoid them to create the reality of them being moral, kind and good to the level that even Soviets believed it and were destroyed for that.

They can do whatever, that if alternative global media with same extension and penetration that BBC, Reuters and so on is not created they will continue being the moral and good side. They can be perceived as hypocritical in the short term but media only need some years to reset this reality

Could be deliberate selection by the media, but it seems like many of these migrants are Christian fundamentalists perhaps trying to create their own kind of pilgrimage with this trek (Jesus crossing the desert). I think they might be sponsored by US churches to try to create bad publicity for China.
