Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock meet at the Munich Security Conference in Munich, Germany, on Feb. 17, 2024.

That is why we need a funny thread. Wang Yi is like awesome.

He is like awesome scary, and then he is like awesome funny.

This picture I did not find funny, I was really scared while posting it.

WTF !?! This is an absurd dog and pony show!!! Stop with the absurd pretenses and superfluous photo ops.! Why is Wang Yi even bothering dealing with this Quisling/US agent? If China, Russia or any other sovereign nation wants to see a change in tone and behavior in Berlin they need to talk to Germany's bosses in Washington DC. As long as Germany is occupied by Anglo-American forces and their institutions infiltrated and undermined by foreign agents, there is little to no hope that a sovereign and sensible decision will be made in Berlin. Sadly, this is true with practically all of Europe. Having said that, the people of Europe do indeed "yearn for freedom"!

One can believe in coincidences and yet not trust them. Sure if possible but it certainly is also possible this was a foreign hit job. What are the chances he dies 2 weeks before Russian elections? After his usefulness to the west is almost gone? Then his death sort of galvanized Westen press?

Yeah. Could definitely be a coincidence. Or not.
why would they care about western press
remember that Saudi-Iran deal. Saudis after that Journalist killing in Turkey thought CIA was siding with Turkey so they basically shut the door on it. Saudi gave the most high profile visit to Russia interior minister. I am sure they exchange alot of things.
Nalvany case may be either too unimportant to not care or Just remove him to see the society reaction and use that reaction as counter intelligence.

Navalny already had to regularly report to the police station before he was allegedly poisoned in that flight. He was basically under house arrest pending several fraud cases he was involved in. Where his company took money for services it didn't render. He wasn't supposed to leave the country. By going to Germany for treatment he missed his regular report to the police and he got arrested the moment he arrived in Russia. As you can probably guess the judge found him in contempt of court and gave him an aggravated sentence because of that.

The AP article is making it seem like they only charged him when he arrived from Germany. But that is bullshit. He returned fully knowing he would be arrested.

The idea Russia started to move away from the West with Putin is pretty much BS. Try reading about the Primakov Doctrine.

Primakov was a former KGB agent. He was appointed Russian Foreign Minister in 1996 and was later appointed as Prime Minister. Before Putin came into power he was widely expected to replace Yeltsin as President. But he was perceived as too close to the Communist Party in Russia. That is why Putin replaced him as Prime Minister and later became President. He was perceived as more amenable to the interests of the oligarch nouveau riche.
The yesterday's grifter like Putin and Merkel by today standard are expert statesman. It is all downhill from here.

Russia's not going to become friends with the West.

Is the West going to give back the $300 billion it stole from Russia? Friends don't steal from friends.

What about the hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers whom the West helped kill? For the sake of friendship, is America going to apologize? Will Trump or Biden send reparations to Russia as a measure of goodwill? Let's keep on dreaming.

Any statesman worth their salt should see it coming the first time NATO expanded. At least in China it is. Can't expect everyone to be sharp like China, but I hope Russian politicians are not totally hopeless. It certainly seemed that way prior to 2021.
