We're returning to the boring phase now.

China and US are normalizing relations, and all of a sudden China isn't being bombarded with made up human rights allegations on Western news and social media everyday anymore (almost as if American mainstream discourse is directed by the US government lol)

Edit: I just checked, there is actually absolutely nothing about China on the entire WSJ, CNN, BBC and r/worldnews front page. How crazy is that?

It is election season because they don’t want to rock the boat too hard. Don’t worry. We will be back on the regular schedule in 2025.

And what happens when Trump loses power in 4 year's time? And it is likely that the Democrats would win, so policy would be back to what it is today.
It will not be with West but simply Trump and Gulf Arabs will be involved in it just like they are now. Arabs are biggest supporters of Trump outside US. i think i posted MBS interview with Fox News last year. he basically alluded to this fact through defense purchases and US status in the world.

gCaptain noted that Novatek has already used the UAE to obtain technology bypassing sanctions. For this, in September the US Treasury imposed sanctions on Green Energy Solutions LLC.

Russia would be stupid to cut back on Chinese engagement, although it would make sense to improve relations with the West where possible

Russia is more de westernize than China and it started much before Putin and now they have even more low opinion.

Genetics journal retracts 18 papers from China due to human rights concerns

Researchers used samples from populations deemed by experts and campaigners to be vulnerable to exploitation, including Uyghurs and Tibetans

WTF is this BS
What the hell are "human rights concerns"? Are these "concerns" evidence free like the Xinjiang "genocide"? If it's ethical violations, then it's understandable. But "human rights concerns"?

It's delusional for the neocons to daydream that they can prevent China's reunification with Taiwan. However, China better heeds the warnings and prepares for the worst.
The domino theory redux, except this time on steroids. The authors pull out every conceivable worst case scenario for the consequence of even a non-violent Chinese absorption of Taiwan to paint a picture of global collapse.

…This resembles more a morality play than serious analysis, as if the authors dredged up every possible bad outcome the world could experience and then worked backwards to link it to the “loss” of Taiwan. The starting point is a deeply ideological, zero-sum, mindset. Sad. END

China should send tons of this stuff to the Ukraine front.

Democracy in India, nuff said.

LMAO - this is what happens when a politician pretends to be an economist.

People really thinks that Russia is only looking forward to a friendly leader in US and Europe to run and become their dog and throw everything the Russian government has worked for 20 years.

It is amazing
You'd be shocked how friendly Russians could become towards the West after Putin is no longer the big boss. Russians are Europeans, don't let anyone tell you otherwise and it would be foolish for China to think it has an eternal friendship with Russia.

It doesn't necessarily need to be the case. The closer you are to someone, the more hatred can occur over time.

And the stronger you are, the more your neighbors could fear you. This is especially true with Baltic states, Scandivanian states, Poland, Romania, and even Ukraine. Just like is the case with East Asians between China and South Korea and Japan.

Ukrainians and Russians are essentially the same people, but that closeness brought up fear and hatred.

But I agree to a certain extent that more Western European countries like Germany could be Russia's natural allies today.

But that is if they were not under the US occupation. But they are, so no hope for that as long as the US exists.

The EU is a consensus organization, so as long as you have anti-Russian Baltic dwarfs and others, they could block any decision to cooperate with Russia for Germany or France for example.

So both the US and the EU first need to disappear in order for Russia to hypothetically reconcile with some present-day EU countries.

Also, Russia's main population density, opportunities for expansion and assimilation, Russians left outside the country lay in Europe (Ukraine, Baltics, etc), so if they wanted to expand their territories they would do it more in that direction,

As opposed to going to expand in Asia from relatively sparsely populated Siberia like some delusional Westerners think.

Also, it is wrong to classify Russians as just Europeans when they have quite a lot of Muslim and Asiatic populations.

Russia was always a block on its own, for example, they would always bring up the Byzantine more than Western Rome.

Eh.

The warming and improvement of ties between China and Russia has actually been a two decades development (it speed up after 2014), not to mention with the amount of current trade between the countries (and the future in which its set to still increase), those interest/companies/people would work to prevent a worsening of ties with China.

Not to mention people far underestimate how much the ties between Russia and the West has frozen, it's really not gonna be easy to thaw it and warm it up to what it used to be.

The minute Putin is no longer the President, the west will try to woo Russia in order to contain China. Don't ever for a second think things can't shift quickly in the world of geopolitics.

That assuming Russia is that insecure and unaware that the baltics hate their guts. You’re placing too much stock on believing that Russia is only about Putin. The Russian people are not so weak that they need European attention anymore. Besides what does Europe offer except a bunch of nanny states that want to destroy, cut Russia to pieces and basically enslave its people whilst stealing their resources on the cheap. Don’t think the top leadership doesn’t know what’s up, they wouldn’t be so easily swayed this time because, the west lost its ability to conduct diplomacy any how

So you probably heard of them rehashing the same story about some Chinese illegal immigrants coming to the US border. They tried it last year but didn't work so they are trying it again since people have short memories.

Does anyone know how many supposed illegal Chinese immigrants are there now? And also is this number comparable to the Mexicans/South american caravans? I realize the media loves spamming this story but for some reason they don't have this info which I actually want to see.

I believe it was around 30k came thru the southern border out of a total of 500k
