He's trying to perfect flipping burgers now.
there standards are dropping quite rapidly at this point. if the USA tries to fight Russia or Iran and this kind of thing happens and an entire plane of US trouble end up crashing into the ocean, I might just laugh because all these accidents can't be because of that low of a quality control so either this is intentional or it seems that the neo cons call for conflicts and wars like babies but fail to realize that wars need to be properly planned and actually prepared with care or else an entire ship with lots of missiles might end up catching fire in the Persia gulf because some fat idiot for got to turn of the stove.

I think it's a waste of time to argue with Filipinos. They have so much work to do before they become a nation that people take seriously. Chinese people constitute less than 2% of the population of the Philippines but they dominate the economy.
Hua Qiao constitute about 12%, mixed blood more than 45%, most of those politicians had Chinese blood in them, so if the CPC are willing to coopt the oligarchs, you will hear a different tune.

Houthis pledge safe passage for Russian and Chinese ships

Houthi militants in Yemen have promised safe passage through the Red Sea to ships from all countries except Israel and nations “in any way connected with it,” a representative of the group has told the Izvestiya newspaper. He noted that Russia and China are among the nations whose vessels will not be targeted.

The Houthis have carried out a string of drone and missile attacks on ships in the Red Sea region in recent months, following the outbreak of the war in Gaza. They have vowed to continue targeting any Israel-linked vessels until the blockade of the Palestinian enclave is lifted and the hostilities are stopped.

In an interview with Russian newspaper Izvestiya published on Friday, Muhammad al-Buheiti – a member of the Houthi politburo – stated that“Israeli ships or those in any way connected with Israel will not have the slightest opportunity to sail through the Red Sea. The attacks on them will continue.”

“As for all other countries, including Russia and China, their ships will not be threatened,”
al-Buheiti added. He insisted that the Houthis are prepared to provide “security guarantees for their safe passage through the Red Sea because free navigation plays a significant role in our country.”

Al-Buheiti stressed that the militants’ aim is not to capture or sink any particular ship, but rather “to raise the economic costs for the Jewish state to stop the carnage in Gaza.”

Other Houthi representatives have stated separately that American and British ships are now considered legitimate targets. Earlier this week, the militants struck a US-owned container ship with a ballistic missile and a Greek-owned carrier bound for Israel. Another US-owned vessel was hit on Wednesday by a drone carrying a bomb.

The attacks came in response to a US-led series of airstrikes on Yemen on Wednesday last week, which targeted more than a dozen Houthi launch sites as part of ‘Operation Prosperity Guardian’ – an international maritime coalition set up with the stated goal of protecting commercial shipping.

On Thursday, Houthi Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced the group had carried yet out another missile strike, this time on the US-owned and Greek-operated Chem Ranger tanker in the Gulf of Aden in the Arabian Sea. He described the move as “retaliation to the American and British attacks,”warning that “any new aggression will not go unpunished.”

Impossible to coop the current oligarchs I think only way is to create a new clique of pro China oligarch. Just gather or make more Dennis Uy like oligarch in Mindanao. I think he was a big duterte guy and pro china if I'm not mistaken.

The best would be to not have oligarchs but that would be to big of a culture shock.

It's possible bro, especially the dynamics in the Philippine are changing, the old gentry elite are losing their grip when pitied against the Taipans the captain of industries. Where did these Taipans earned their living by trading with the Chinese of course, Do you know that SM had a mall in Xiamen and is expanding and Oishi Shanghaojia is an offshoot of the Oishi brand in the Philippines, which is owned by the Liwayway Group. It was brought to China by Chinese Filipino Carlos Chan.

To compete the oligarch had resorted to fund politician to curry favor, just like the US, they pick and choose who will run as President, VP, Senators ,Congressman, Governor, mayor and even the barangay captain (2025 is around the corner and you see politician and military officer making noises to be notice as they advance their career and climb the social ladder). In this they find a willing ally in the US as their interest aligned, this family oligarch are willing to sell their soul, national pride and dignity for easy money. In other words they're Rent Seekers, that's the only method they know how to run a successful business.

My advise to the CPC is open the door for more economic opportunities for these oligarch to do business and its working, the Ayala group had sign a exclusive distributor agreement with BYD, the Cojuangcos had partner with a Chinese state firm to establish an industrial park in Tarlac and many more.

Ooh I hadnt even looked at it that way, that they can entice PH oligarch by giving them a bit more market access within China. I didn't know that SM had a mall in Xiamen etc.

It's also saver for China that way. PH oligarch can invest and expand in China itself. That way China could always confiscate or freeze those investment.

Bro that's the best long term strategy as it rely on Chinese strength, no need to go to war and make the situation worse as violence is not the answer, who want to go to war when you are benefitting and its a win win for both side. To defeat the American you need to act like an American and giving market access is one of the tool of US imperialism and hegemony.

Opinion: Germany’s far right is surging. Banning it would backfire

Berlin CNN —

Even though the hard right has come to power in many European countries in recent years – either ruling on their own like in Hungary, or in coalitions such as in Italy and Finland – Germans never thought it could happen to them.

After all, modern Germany is acutely conscious of the crimes that Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich committed in the name of, and with

, the German people.

In the postwar decades, democratic-minded Germans bent over backwards to wring out the toxins that catapulted the Nazis to power and, ultimately, enabled the Holocaust.
But today, Germany is staring at a

– and the country’s mainstream politicians and democratic citizens, still by far the lion’s share of the population, are understandably rattled.

At the center of Germany’s distress is the Alternative for Germany (AfD), a party born in 2013 out of protest against the country’s abandonment of the deutsche mark in favor of the euro.

Should they be found a genuine threat to democracy, the high court could eventually ban them, although the judicial process would take years.

Shouldn't surprise anyone.

As the economy goes downwards, regular people are likely to try and 'find an alternative' to the usual 'mainstream' parties, which means going far right or left, and with the far left being repressed more, it shouldn't come as a surprise that a Nazi 2.0 party will rise.

Whether or not history will 'repeat' is hard to say, but it's pretty clear, that regular people will be more and more disastified with the current ruling party in Germany as the economy goes downwards.
