Lot's of meetings between China and the US lately.

VOA Exclusive: Blinken to Meet Chinese Foreign Minister Candidate Before Taiwan Election

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken plans to meet with Liu Jianchao, a veteran Chinese diplomat and a top contender to be China's next foreign minister, in Washington on Friday, a day before Taiwan’s elections, as the United States continues to caution China against using the elections as a pretext for instability.

Communication between the world’s two largest economies will continue after Taiwan’s presidential and legislative elections on Saturday, as senior officials from the United States and China are slated to attend next week's World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

VOA Exclusive: Blinken to Meet Chinese Foreign Minister Candidate Before Taiwan Election

US needs China more than ever until the general election in November. With a quagmire in Ukraine and a trap in Gaza, US does not have many bullets left in picking a fight against China. US is more likely constraining Taiwan, as opposed to some noises in MSM. The last thing US wants to see is a pissed-off China tips the balance in every global hot spots.

How is that a flying car? It’s a miniature helicopter that can be folded up and carried in a vehicle. It’s probably also dangerous as hell. Lots of folding parts means lots of points of failure.

Assuming it even is legal. You will likely also need a licenses and a permit to even use it. Not to mention the maintenance is going to be crazy with that many folding parts.

Statement from President Joe Biden on Coalition Strikes in Houthi-Controlled Areas in Yemen

Today, at my direction, U.S. military forces—together with the United Kingdom and with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands—successfully conducted strikes against a number of targets in Yemen used by Houthi rebels to endanger freedom of navigation in one of the world’s most vital waterways.

These strikes are in direct response to unprecedented Houthi attacks against international maritime vessels in the Red Sea—including the use of anti-ship ballistic missiles for the first time in history. These attacks have endangered U.S. personnel, civilian mariners, and our partners, jeopardized trade, and threatened freedom of navigation. More than 50 nations have been affected in 27 attacks on international commercial shipping. Crews from more than 20 countries have been threatened or taken hostage in acts of piracy. More than 2,000 ships have been forced to divert thousands of miles to avoid the Red Sea—which can cause weeks of delays in product shipping times. And on January 9, Houthis launched their largest attack to date—directly targeting American ships.

The response of the international community to these reckless attacks has been united and resolute. Last month, the United States launched Operation Prosperity Guardian—a coalition of more than 20 nations committed to defending international shipping and deterring Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. We also joined more than 40 nations in condemning Houthi threats. Last week, together with 13 allies and partners, we issued an unequivocal warning that Houthi rebels would bear the consequences if their attacks did not cease. And yesterday, the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution demanding the Houthis end attacks on merchant and commercial vessels.

Today’s defensive action follows this extensive diplomatic campaign and Houthi rebels’ escalating attacks against commercial vessels. These targeted strikes are a clear message that the United States and our partners will not tolerate attacks on our personnel or allow hostile actors to imperil freedom of navigation in one of the world’s most critical commercial routes. I will not hesitate to direct further measures to protect our people and the free flow of international commerce as necessary.
Mission Accomplished? ;)

Probably Saudi oil fields again too as they let Americans use their air space to conduct attacks. This is why it's major news for oil prices and inflation down the line.

Not to mention that Houthis will not back down, but intensify their Red Sea operations.

Hopefully this time, not that I should be saying this really but at the very least that the US and UK soldiers finally taste a massive amount of casualties this time because well they always seem to love starting these fights against those who cannot fight back and always smugly smile as though they are the good guys when they seriously are not. I mean it’s annoying that they seem to get away with this sort of crap in almost every fight they got into for the last few decades so hopefully this time, they actually take real massive loses, if only because I want to see Biden and Sunak cry like little b!tches on screen and suffer some real consequences where every western base in the Middle East will finally get to experience some real hurt for once because since they are occupiers, they are worth less then garbage

Russia exports to US should reach $5b in 2023. They were $14.5b in 2022 and before that $29b. So this oil purchase is non story. but this one sided trade. nothing prevent indirect trade through intermediaries. there are those Cadillac SUVs or Boeing/GE parts.
